Based off the end of the trailer it looks like story mode is going to be a thing they will hammer. I hope this leads to some face scanning like NBA2K has. I'm a franchise guy but I would mess around with it if i could get my actually face in the game. Really adds to the experience.
If it's anything like FIFA 17, that will be the main character.

I find it hard to trust these trailers due to EA's track record.

The game didn't look like any of those.

Always hated the fact of these "story mode" modes that we have to use a premade character, why does it have to be "His" story and not "Our" story

This looks great. Pumped to see gameplay at EA play. The story mode in FIFA was great. Looks to be similar.

These images are disappointing. The game looks to animate the same. Zero football IQ. The defender trying to tackle Elliot is tackling air while looking at him. The defender covering Antonio Brown never attempts to locate the ball. Dez Bryant is doing the same animation as the defender with the ball two feet out of his reach. Ugh. Madden is an ugly game in motion.

The story mode does zero for me either. Never liked it in a football game. Players don't play offense and defense like baseball, basketball or soccer. Even the skill players of the offense don't get enough touches to make the mode interesting to me with the qb being the only exception.

I haven't bought madden in years. Very unlikely I come back this year based off this trailer.

Equipment guys chill out, just remember NONE of the new equipment for Madden 17 was shown until after E3. Feel free to give feedback but just last year we should have learned that these early trailers are not fully indicative of what they added to the game.

based on the very brief clips. One thing I did notice was the short cuts to lineman feet and the battle in the trenches. I'm hoping they have redone line animations, which is definitely a huge request by the community. If you look at the 26 sec mark and watch the wr on the other end of the field, his route running animation looks really good actually. My hope is they finally got running animations correct this year.

Just brief thoughts on a small sample

Not a huge story mode guy in sports games. Do I really need to watch pre-made cut scenes about my players growth and choices. I hope it didnt take away from franchise mode development.

Thank you for cementing my decision not to purchase this year.

I was afraid it would be Rodgers and I would have caved.

Every single year we hear, alpha build, not finished yet, etc. Then August comes around and the game looks exactly the same.

The point I made was about equipment and it's not something to be argued it's a fact.

You want guys to have arms the size of a noodle? Brady's arm has the same amount of muscle as a 4 year old in that image. That Kap image from years ago is way better than this junk

That Brady image is real. Probably retouched a little bit. That Kaepernick picture was what his model looked like in game the photo is just touched up. Madden always looked incredible in still shots. It's when the game starts moving that it looks goofy. The graphics on Madden have always been good.

Why add a story mode when they can't even fix the modes they already have? I gotta imagine franchise mode will be largely untouched once again.
