There are only two benefits for pc players over console:
1) They have a free roam kind of camera, consoles are locked to certain cameras. I think this is only beneficial to checking out courses in their entirety but not sure if it's built in, as the developers said it's kinda in PC but not consoles.
2) Sharing courses to build together as you can access the save files.
The courses are all cross platform. So honestly, if it runs good on console, that's my choice because that's majority of my playtime.

Exactly man, and I sit in an office chair all day looking at a monitor at work, I certainly don't want to do that in my free time for gaming!!
I have a feeling with a decent pc and video card you will be able to run it a higher resolution with more detail than the ps4, if it's anything like golf club 1- or most games on the pc to be honest. Especially if it's not really optimized for the ps4 pro. Frame rates are supposed to be better across the board though.

You'll need more than a "decent" PC to run this game higher than the consoles. Promise you that.
It's already been stated this runs very well on the Pro. It'll be the same resolution on the Pro as the PC I am sure if you have a standard 1080p monitor. Given, if you have a super nice pc and monitor, you can probably go higher than consoles for sure.
You don't need a super high end pc to run many games at 2560 x 1440, 4k is another story. I was able to run the golf club 1 at that resolution with a decent framerate- not 60 fps all the time but didn't dip much below 40 on most courses. With the supposedly improved framerate I'm hoping to maintain closer to 60 this year.
I know fifa 2017 looks quite a bit better on my pc than the ps4 pro which I also have. I can almost run that at 4k actually without a dip in framerate.

Yah for using my monitor- but I also have a 4k tv I use with the ps4 pro which I have hooked up to the pc as well. I'm tempted to upgrade to the latest nvidia card to run 4k pc games on it.

PC will be better bt FAR in frame rates and higher resolution. Neither console including the PS4 Pro will compare in graphics and frame rates.
The only console thatvwill be competitive with the PC will be the Xbox One X.

You totally missed my point. I know a PC with a good setup can run faster and look prettier. Lol. I'm a PC gamer with plenty of knowledge about them. I just meant feature wise!
He never said the Pro so I assume just regular PS4 but man does it seem 100x better than TGC1 frame rate wise. Looked super smooth.
If that's not the Pro, I imagine boostmode will help a little to keep it smooth and very planterd courses.
The players on that stream are saying the game plays similar to TGC even with Tour clubs.
A lot will like this but I was looking for something as challenging as TW14 sim difficulty.

Can't believe everything you hear and see about a game by watching a stream.
There is no substitute for playing it yourself.
The Beta I played there was no comparison to TGC1 in gameplay. Standard clubs played like TGC1. The other two were far superior to TGC1.
That being said, we did not test the console versions.
