According to LD2K, another NBA 2K17 gameplay patch is coming soon and they are looking for community feedback. Mike Wang has created a poll on Twitter on steal success frequency. Make sure to vote.

-Definitely agree on AI Brick Wall effectiveness being lowered. It's ridiculous seeing players with HOF pick Dodgers being stuck on screens and giving up up looks. Also increase the effectiveness of Pick dodger badge. It use to be great in 2k15. Then they nerfed it last 2 iterations. Because even with badges pops up still get stuck in animations. That would go a long way in improving perimeter defense.
-Decrease AI 3pt percentage/attempts. I see too many players under 70 3pt being able to make 3s. Like I played on Raptors in MC, with DeRozan he would attempt(plays ran for him) 7-12 3pt shots a game. In real life this year, he only attempts 1.7 3-pointers a game. I understand if it is a few seconds on clock, but most shouldn't be taking low percentage shots.
-Badges not having stronger impact than ratings. I like the idea of badges separating players with close ratings. But at same time, it feels like you have to have badges just to do certain things. You can have 90+ 3pt, but without 3pt badges, you would shoot poorly. But can have HOF badges with 75-80 rating , but shoot lights out.
-Maybe next year, users not getting stuck in certain animations. Mainly when it comes in ball defense. I understand Ankle breaker badge. But that should mainly effect AI, not users. Like I was guarding AI PG, I was doing a good job of staying in front of him. Then he does one move, and my player automatically moves out position and give up open shot.

Only way I get around the super long load times is make a drink, go bathroom, or leave 2k open and put my PS on rest mode.

Loading on 2k is amazingly slow.

Definitely the game.

Underrated post.

I think these are easy fixes and would make the whole experience of the game 100% better.

Additionally, being able to break out of celebration animations.

I have a heart attack if I take the lead with 8 seconds left coz my players are all jumping around while the ball is already being thrown in bounds and they're still at half court.

I love the immersion it brings, but my poor heart can't take that sort of stress, and it is also easily fixable, I can break out of celebrations in Pro-Am.

Well since all the play for pay tournaments are over could 2K remove all of the automatic movements (forced dragging of my player to the corner 3pt line ond the auto post-up animation when driving into the lane).

You load up the game and get stuck at the screen with the loading ball icon which takes FOREVER sometimes.... Once that finishes, you click on the player you want to use, but notice there is no loading percentage in the bottom right corner when trying to get to your court, so you have to restart your game. Back to the spinning ball icon but this time it takes even longer so you quit out to the menu and decide screw it i'll clear my reserve space. That's a whole other issue in itself. Then you realize you have spent almost an hour just trying to play one game. This has been my experience on Xbox as of late.

Well...I have had none of the slow loading issues mentioned here so I'm not sure how it could be the game in general but whatever. I'm on PS4 BTW.

The problem with threads like this is people keep requesting more and more major things until it basically just turns into a giant wish list that couldn't possibly be implemented in a patch, let alone by 2K18.

It would help if 2K let us know the scope of what they are looking to change, e.g if it's just altering gameplay sliders to be better so as not for us to get our hopes up.

2K, you guys really need to remove the ability to set screens in the park. Everyone is abusing it. Or either way, remove moving screens.

Also, 2K. Can we get faster speed for the park? Park gameplay is way too turtle slow.

Just thought of another thing (expanding my list from an earlier post):

5. The AI should break out of set plays more often in my opinion. For example Golden State (AI) decides to run a play, players are starting to take their positions on the court, Steph is just standing behind the three point line in the middle, not moving, waiting with the ball for the play to develop. In that moment, you could just leave Steph alone, just go away and leave him on his own, he will not take the wide open three. Because the AI has made up it's mind to run a certain play.

FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT. this includes reverting the ball handling mechanics to how they were pre-release. Just allow the gamers to dictate how the players move on both sides. I know this is possible because the pre release prelude and 2k university allowed for much more freedom and creativity.

TONE DOWN THE STICKINESS OF THE DEFENSE. especially for the AI as it makes the game dull and boring and players use this as a crutch. Players on offense in offline or PNO games are many times forced to use exploits to beat a cheating on ball D rather than basketball skills and creativity. But also tone down the stickiness of many defensive animations so as in real life with great athletes and ball handlers we can get the blow bys for exciting plays

INCREASE DEFENSIVE MOVEMENT SPEED OF USER CONTROLLED PLAYERS. this is to balance the more free flowing offensive ability allowing for some dynamic battles of one on one plays. If this can be combined with proper charge calling mechanics it would become very rewarding to play defense. Instead of relying on animations for the majority of the work you would better be able to play the angles with more control and speed to either beat the offensive player to the spot or force the direction of the ball handler.

TONE DOWN EFFECTS OF MOMENTUM especially on the defensive side of the ball. This is the single largest contributor to the zig zag cheese. It would have been much less of an issue with faster response times.

TONE DOWN SHOOTING BADGES especially limitless range. That badge is game breaking and kills the balance of non shooting classes.

FiX THE BLOCK AND STRIP CHEESE. as others have already commented on. Very frustrating at times.

SPEED UP THE LAYUP AND FLOATER ANIMATIONS. the NBA is currently being dominated by crafty guards who own the paint with a variety of skillful layups and floaters. However in this game it is painful to try and finish inside with a smaller player making players like Boston's Thomas to almost be useless. More times then not the player will have some take some uncanny and lengthy gather instead of just exploding. I HATE this.

DEFENSIVE AWARENESS. by AI obviously. tone down on ball glue and increase help rotations. tone down outside shooting percentages a bit and boom.

If possible i would like to see AI interior paint spamming touched on. Whether it be my bigs being moved out of the way so a pass can be completed or the ball warping through a defenders arms. Its all frustrating would rather a contested jumper be made by AI if it decides it must score on the possession.

Also can catch animations but touched on. The distance they cover needs to be severely reduced

Strengthen LDDs/ Paint protectors . HOF defensive stopper should badges to bronze not silver. It should affect on more shot contests , it is too inconsistent.

I'm a 6'7 shot creator with hof tear dropped and 90 consistency 81 driving layup and runners are just to inconsistent for me.

for it to be a major badge for my archtype I'm not asking for it to be dominant but more than just a little bit useful

Some of the animations are to slow to begin with

PLayers losing the ball off of other when dribbling...it rarely if ever happens in the nba...people dribble in front of people every day in the nba. This whole clipping animation/Losing the ball stuff has to go...it isnt realistic at all.



The eurostep out of bounds....enough said...

The ball hitting the backboard on baseline passes. The ball hitting the backboard off of passes from the rebounder passing towards an open man in the corners. The Ball hitting the backboard causing a turnover off of an inbounds pass under the rim.

Fixing the breakstarter badge back to the way it was in 2k15. Whats the point in grinding 40-50 games to get this badge on HOF just for it to be broken. We have a badge that we grind for thats totally useless. 8/10 times we throw a turn over for launching an outlet pass down the court from a rebound.

Get rid of those Overthrown out of bounds passes. Its rare that anyone throws the ball put of bounds. You could be at half court and try to throw a pass to the corners and it goes way out of bounds...its terrible.

Catch animations. Get rid of all those Catch animations that make you bobble the ball, or make you lose the ball after the catch or make you spin out of control on the catch.

Please removed those wide open missed dunk animations. The frequency is too often these days.
