Also, uniforms in general at this point since they are done updating.

Yeah I hated to be that guy. I was just hoping since Ramone was in the thread just a few minutes before me that he might throw us a bone so to speak.

Either way it's not that big of a deal to me. I can't wait for this game. Just curiosity more than anything. I'm sure he wishes he had a dollar for every time someone has asked about the Indians.

Calling general features of the game little things just feels like a broken attempt to...I don't know. Pandering? Is it pandering?

Da well. This is nitpicking at it's most picking nitty.
I think what they mean by little things is stuff that has been fixed/improved but isn't included on the back of the box.

LOL I think its funny how some of this thread turned into whats considered a little thing or not.

Does it really matter? They gave more info on the game they can call it whatever they want or should they make a big, medium, and little things video?

Game just looks amazing, always has. It continues to be far and away the best sports game on the market. If they fix the interleague scheduling I'm 100% happy. I know this isn't an easy fix but it would be nice to not have to play the same teams from the opposite league every year. Also a shout out to the developers, how can you ask for better interaction with the community then what Ramone and his team do for us as gamers.

Did the Pirates black jerseys get changed to a darker shade of black before the art freeze?

Come on we all know it never freezes in San Diego!

Little Thing I would like to see in Todays stream

Please, if you brought it back, show the Batter/Pitcher analysis on the D-pad in game and not on a pause menu

I really hope they talk a lot about what I personally think is one of the most important features I heard in the Little Things trailer which is of course "Improved AI logic for pitcher substitutions"

This has been an eye sore for a long time now so I am really hoping it got greatly improved and not just a little bit!

Hopefully the new hit variety take care of all those GIDP''s and good timing pop ups on HOF and above.

On today's Twitch stream, Ramone said, in regards to smart pitching/bullpen AI:
  • Teams now make decisions based on multiple players coming up in the order
  • The game no longer just selects the best pitcher available
The example he gave was that the AI will now look and see R, L, R, R, and bring in a righty, presumably. That makes sense.

What I'm curious to know now is: will there be instances where we see THREE relievers in that inning--a righty, lefty, righty?

One of the big issues with this game is that relievers simply stay in until they do something "bad." They are never/rarely pulled after a success.

I'm hoping we see micromanaging at times of the bullpen, especially in tight games, playoff games, or when teams have expanded rosters.

Also, I sure hope they fixed the issue with CG/SO being WAYYYYY too high in simmed games during franchise mode.

It's a little thing, but it would've been nice if the size and positioning of the Blue Jays logo on the front of the team's uniforms had been fixed.

Any one know if we will we be able to turn off the analog pitching meter. I would like to use analog pitching without the actual meter. That would make it more challenging.

wouldn't that essentially be classic then?

# 115 nemesis04 @ 02/26/17 04:43 PM
I don't see that happening because it would be nearly impossible to be successful at trying to figure out the release point line.

It would add realism but difficult to program correctly and as a manage mode user I suspect I would be able to out maneuver the cpu AI once I figure out how it is programmed unless they really get it accurate.

One thing which would be an improvement - just my opinion - I see starting pitchers get higher than realistic pitch counts with energy completely gone and still pitching well regardless of the score. IRL a GM would be pulling his hair out if the manager left a pitcher in to throw 130 pitches with a big lead but it happens in the show. There should be more of an attribute penalty once a pitcher's energy gets low which overrides pitcher confidence.

They did mention in the stream that they made changes to that. They said once a pitcher runs out of energy he will either walk you or give up meatballs.

If i remember correctly, they said that will only affect online play.

Wow, that's a disappointment if true. Things like this should cover all game modes.

When a pitcher loses energy offline they proceed to get shelled. Online there was a significant bug/exploit where people would bring in a reliever in the 3rd inning and after they ran out of energy they would still pitch lights out like nothing is happening.

It works offline just fine.
