Ok finally got a hole shot. It was on the mantova track. Didn't use the clutch and timed the gate drop real well in dry conditions. Also have my attributes up to over 90% now.

I'm coming up against another huge bug now. Every time I finish the Mantova race the career mode save game corrupts and goes to a blue screen.

I'm about to scrap my season and start over. I fear I should wait for the next patch before I waste the time however.

I absolutely love this game. They do need to clean up a few bugs however. IMO.

It is a great game! I love it! And btw, the Day 2 6.2 GB patch fixed all the lag and slowdown on Xbox One.

I do have 2 complaints. 1, the third person camera no longer has the zoom feature that was in MUD, MXGP 1 and MXGP 2. To me, all the 3rd person cameras are too far off sorta giving me a disconnected feeling. The 1st person in this game is fabulous but I do prefer 3rd person zoomed in to the max. Wish they hadn't removed that.

Secondly, it is on the verge of being too fast. Actually, I think it is too fast. I can deal with it. It's not MVA-ish fast but it is quicker than I would like it. I preferred the speed of the previous two games.

Other than that, this game is gold on every level. Love the force feedback, the terrain deformation, the physics, the ruts and of course the authenticity. Awesome game. Just wish you could back the speed off a bit and zoom the camera.

Happy there is a company making a great MX game. Now we need SX. MVA really needs to step up. Encore was garbage. Thank you, Milestone!

And yeah, you should be able to pop the bike in gear with the clutch pulled on the start. That is a big miscue.

Btw, guys. I have a control method that I have used since MXGP 1 that I would like to suggest to you all (again). I actually suggested this for the MVA game and they actually used it, though they put it backwards from my suggestion for some crazy reason. :/

For the most realism, I, of course, have manual shifting on and separate braking. My suggestion is to map upshift to L3 (where you click the X1 analog down..or PS4 for that matter) and downshift mapped to R3. That way you can shift without having to move your fingers from the analog sticks which needs to be used for steering and rider movement/scrubbing. Then I map the rear brake to A.

It takes a bit getting used to but once you do it is SO much better than having to move your right thumb off the analog to use the default face buttons for shifting.

Give it a shot. I've used it for years in this series.

I tried a few races online last night. Very laggy, other players were morphing all over the place, just appearing out of nowhere. Also some horrible racers, I got taken out several times. I thought I was pretty good at this game however I ran 5 races with the same 9 people and always ended up 3rd to 5th , the top two guys were a good 15 seconds faster and when I could see them in front of me they appeared to be hitting barriers, tough blocks , signs with no effect ,just plowing around the track at full speed with no apparent consequences, strange.

On the single player side Milestone needs to figure out how to make the A.I. more difficult to beat. Now that I have run multiple seasons and I know my lines I can win every race fairly easily. Usually the first moto I run around 3rd until the final 2 laps then I seem to close on the leaders and pass them for the win. Moto 2 I'm out front half way through the first lap and by the time the race is over I could get off the bike and push it the last 50 yards and still win. They need a system like project cars where you can adjust the A.I. one click at a time from 0 to 100, I've got that set at 68 and I have very competitive races with the A.I.

I'm also going to message them on facebook and ask if they can adjust the 3rd person view, it looks so cheesy and fake to me. I love the 1st person view but I'd like to be able to use 3rd if I wanted, I just can't now because of how the game looks, needs to be closer like MXGP 2. I'm also going to ask for a track pack containing all the tracks from previous MXGP games that are not in this one.

The first DLC is out , supercross

I grabbed it as well.

I like it. It's better than last year for sure.

You really have to keep focus as the track is not as forgiving as the outdoor tracks.

Would love to see a couple more of these style tracks...also we need the ability to race this in quick race or hot lap.

I'm guessing the next dlc will be a couple outdoor tracks.

Well I figured out the starts.

Like I mentioned before the clutch is worthless with the semi auto transmission.

At the gate peg the throttle with the front wheel against the gate...it acts like what the clutch should...if that makes sense.

Once the gate drops manually up shift as fast as you can to 3rd gear then manually to 4th just before it's red.

The auto shift points are messed up along with the clutch in my opinion.

This technique allows you to overcome the shifting issue and start top 5 almost every time and get the elusive hole shot sometimes.

I've pulled the hole shot about 15 times now.

Trial and error paid off

Sounds like another patch went out this week on PC.

Should see it on console soon.

Patch notes taken from steam forum

A new update for Steam has just been released!
Here is the fixlist:
- From now you'll be able to choose a different color for your custom rider's name and number
- 4 stroke sound improvements
- minor fix gameplay related

I hope along with the sound they fix the clutch.....Also they still need to work on the "full weekend" skipping session issue.

I really like this game but once again it's just to easy to win every race against the A.I. once you learn the tracks. I'm going to try using an unmodified completely stock bike and see if that makes it more difficult. In season mode I've been signing with the weakest team and still dominating the field.

# 72 Richzilla @ 07/17/17 08:30 PM
I upped the AI to the highest level and am running 5 lap mains.

I win most of the races with a decent start.

I do have to work at it a bit though.

Additional track pack is available. 3 outdoor tracks - Nakhonchaisri, Villars sous Ecot, and Uddevalla. I'm about to give them all a run. All 3 are nice the 1st and 3rd are challenging.

I don't know but I hope not. I'd like to see all of the tracks from previous games that are not in this one.

Got my mitts on this game for $20 on Black Friday at Gamestop. Very fun racing. Tracks look nice, too.

But I'm stunned at the poor quality of graphics for the riders and bikes in the third-person view. They look like early-gen Xbox 360 graphics. Borderline appalling.

Surprising considering Milestone made WRC 7 look fantastic. Different graphics engine. Much like Unity, I think the Unreal Engine is just too damn old to create modern graphics.

I agree with you on the 3rd person view, looks horrible. I can't even stand to play in that view, I have to be in first person. MXGP 2 looked so good in 3rd person view, strange.

I've enjoyed the game but I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of DLC. I don't understand why they refuse to give us some of the older tracks from previous games.
