The 2K development team traveled to all 30 NBA arenas to record and analyze the different sounds exclusive to each arena. Logging thousands of miles to bring you the most authentic experience in a sports game ever, watch how each arena in NBA 2K17 will have it's own flavor and be more realistic than ever before.
Offthread topic: But it seems as though PS4 halftime highlights don't work after multiple consecutive gaming sessions. I've had issues where they would simply show the stats break down without any halftime highlights. I would go XB1 but unfortunately I'm hesitant because the Scorpio isn't getting a release date this year. Had they never announced the Scorpio, I'd be gaming XB1 NBA2k17 this year come release date.
Plus, I could wait 2 months for XBOX patches. Fortunately, that aspect doesn't really concern me.
I remember that bug. I rarely play back to back games (married with a kid so i barely have the time for one). Plus I didnt mind restarting the game after each game.
Regarding the Xbox delay, it depends on what the patch was for. Before the first big patch, 2k15 had very few fouls called. It made it unplayable for me. The big patch fixed that and I hated having to shelve the game until the patch was released by MS.
MSG, Staples, TD Garden off the top of my head. Then there's a few others I remember looking a fair bit different to what we see on TV. The colours and reflection just doesn't come off like it does in a real broadcast.
Verizon is off too. Again a fair few is different than "every arena is off".
I have a laundry list of little things I think 2K does wrong or not at all.
But I can name thousands of things they do very right.
When I want a perfect NBA experience, Ill load up my league pass. When I want a damn and realistic NBA video game sim, Ill load up 2K.
As I said, it's your loss and its pity you wont be posting your thoughts on the game seeing you're not purchasing it.
There are plenty of things a certain company does right, but sometimes someone just can't get pass that "one" thing.
Your take is probably like me reading some yelp reviews about restaurants or different businesses. I'm like "really, that's your complaint. That such an insignificant issue. I can overlook that."
However, I might snatch the XBOX2k17 version if there isn't any massive advantage to getting the unreleased Scorpio over the current XBOX S. But as of this minute, it's a no go unfortunately.
Not really, I just choose to spend money on products that meet my expectations. You don't, and that's perfectly fine. I'm guessing you've bought all past iteration of games from franchises that you enjoy despite having complaints.
The Warriors color were one of the concerns people had in past. I never had an issue with it despite me being a life long Warriors fan. I still bought past 2k games with incorrect Warriors colored. I never complained. People brought it up, I noticed. Still didn't matter to me because that part didn't concern me.
The same goes with MLB the Show. If the concerns aren't addressed for future iterations, I'm skipping. More importantly, I actually found a baseball product that's superior.
Perfect is the enemy of good.
You're depriving yourself of the best-PLAYING basketball game series on the market...because of COLORS.
As an autistic man...dude, stop being autistic and obsessing over tiny little details that don't affect how the game is PLAYED. You're making us look bad.

Please re-read my post. I didn't care about the colors. I still bought the game despite the Warriors having their colors off.

I understand it. I didnt buy 2k14 because it was missing 30 team franchise. Same with Madden 25. There are features that are must haves for people.
A problem with these pics is the real life one is facing towards the court from the stands and the 2K ones are facing away from the court. Of course the one taken in darkness will appear darker.
Is not the position of the camera is that the lighting is wrong. At Staples Center no mather wich position you put the camera, the crowd will be always be dark but in 2k is always bright.
And remember that this game is all about authenticty, and arena lighting plays a huge role in that.
Yeah ok that's a key feature. I'd struggle to find a reason to buy 2K if they got rid of franchise mode.
But that's an entire game mode. Not a halftime show, or a court colour or jersey colour or arena lighting.
They didnt get rid of Franchise. They removed the feature that allows you to control every team. Most people dont give a **** about that but its important to me. I wont consider buying a game unless thats in a game.

It's about the experience.
30 team franchise doesn't bother me, but it does bother Alhobert. Also, wrong accessories, wrong uniforms don't bother me.
It's the same with NFL2k5. The halftime show and the post game highlights rounds out the experience. Colors is not a big deal to me. Sure, try to get it right, but colors isn't going to stop me from buying 2k17 but the lack of a working halftime/end of game highlight experience is, unfortunately.
Side note: I thought 2k9 had one of the most impressive lighting in sports video game.
When I decided I wanted to get back into gaming, I saw NBA2k9 gameplay videos, I had to do double, triple and quadruple takes.
If they kept the lighting system in 2k9 people would complain about the colors of the floor to jump on the hate bandwagon on 2k. Call them lazy or whatever. I respect people's wishes for 2k some people (not you) are just trying to hate and bash on 2k for 0 reason.
