NBA 2K17 Features League Expansion For MyGM & MyLEAGUE Modes

Nice. I had a feeling it was coming after relocation was added last year. I see playoff mode is back, and a new form of NBA Today.

I like the fact we can basically make "New" teams from scratch and play a season! I hope the PC guys can get some DLeague mods going!!! 2 games for the price of one!

Very good start so far. Looking forward to this and seeing what else they have up their sleeves. Start Today and Playoffs mode being back is fantastic as well, been gone too long.

I'm just glad we finally get Start Today back. Finally have a franchise mode that reflects the real league

I would like to know this too. From what i understand, since we can add 6 expansions teams, we should be able to at least re-brand 6 teams!

I hope we can re-brand the entire league, it would be my dream come true. I would go Crazy in Retro Roster Season Mode!

Also, can we make a season with actually LESS teams? Like 28, 27...?

WHOA. Game-changer. I didn't expect this for 2K17, not at all. I honestly thought this was a 2K18 item.

With the ability to expand the league to 36 (a perfect number by the way, as there are six divisions in the NBA so 1 expansion team to each division) and to create the team from the ground up, including all its assets, this adds an insane level of depth to MyLeague.

In theory, if I'm reading this right, you could relocate the entire league to entirely different cities ON TOP of the six expansion teams -- at least for PC anyway as those players could relocate as many current teams as they wanted, hopefully those restrictions were lifted for console players.

This is HUGE for MyLeague/Association/Franchise players like myself. I wasn't going to seriously consider a 2K17 buy ... but this changes things.

GREAT news!! I expected a soundtrack release. Hope some of the MyGM/MyLeague issues have been tweaked. Start today return? Playoffs mode return? Niiice. They should of never been omitted in the first place.

You start from the present day of the NBA in real time, so say it was Christmas Day, you'd start your league from then and all the stats/standings up to Christmas would mimic the real life NBA

A little confused about number of teams we can rebrand. Can anyone clarify? If we can rebrand all teams, then we basically have access to NCAA Bball, international, and everything else. Would be so awesome. I just hope our expansions teams can use short shorts and different fit jerseys to replicate classic teams.
