For anyone who has read my blogs in the past, you know that I am serious about MyGM and MyLEAGUE. I'm blessed to work with a core group of people who share the exact same level of passion. We've done a LOT of work to these modes this year, and one feature I can't stop talking about is...League Expansion. This is entirely new to NBA 2K17, and is the feature I want to tell you about today.

I would like to have myGM with the ability to control certain aspects like in myLeague. Not all aspects but some that would make my experience more realistic if something happened that I do not agree with.

Well to play an unranked online game just do "start today". I think "Start Today" will have all the features of "My League Online" and from there you can add any of your friends to play along with you so you don't have to play against GSW or CLE all the time.

I doubt the league would ever go for that to be honest.

Well with all do respect Raptors probably sounded weird too. It'd definitely unique and the logo possibilities will be bad ***.

I have been running through various thoughts of whether to expand immediately to 36 teams or just do 32 teams and let the league expand on its own. Also pondering where to do the 6 teams, if I indeed go to 36. Thus far the only for sure places I know are:

Louisville (Central Division)
Vegas (Pacific Division)
Seattle (Northwest Division)
Mexico City (Southwest Division)

I need teams for the Atlantic and the Southeast divisions. Still thinking.

This new expansion mode has me super pumped.

The sim crowd is getting smaller by the year. The game is becoming a RPG rather than the sports sim that it initially intended to be.

I'm pumped, too, man. I think for the Atlantic, another team in Canada. I'm strongly considering sticking one in Montreal.

For the Southeast, you could do a team in Virginia proper (like Richmond) or stick one in South Carolina (as a rival geographically for the Charlotte Hornets).

At least for me, I tend to rework the divisions (sticking Memphis in the Southeast cause they're in Tennessee), throw the Thunder to the Southwest division (that makes much more sense to me). In that case, you then need two Northwest Division teams and you don't have to worry about the Southeast.

And in the Northwest you could do Vancouver, they're right close to the state of Washington. I think it'd be pretty cool to have two former NBA cities get a franchise again.

So leagues don't ever expand? The NBA has NEVER expanded before?

Hell, the NHL just expanded into Las Vegas. How is this less sim? I swear some of you guys make 0 sense.

I don't get how giving the option to expand to 36 makes the game overall less sim? Will the league ever be 36 teams? I doubt it. But then just keep it at 30 and it will maintain its sim level.

One thing I forgot to put the the questions thread: Last year, there was the issue with the halftime highlights while playing with customized teams that had a different name than the original.

They only showed clips of the other team. I hope this will be at least fixed with the 10 default teams. Things like that may make me be one of those teams.

Darn you Trekfan...LOL....I was past the point of thinking about realignment but now you put the idea back into my head....

Thankfully I have until September 16th to make a decision.

23rd? You're waiting a full week after it comes out? I would freaking die waiting another week for this game.

Oops...I mean September 16th. And no, there is no way in the world I would wait an extra week for this game.

Another thought, now obviously we can download individual designs for out teams that other people have created/uploaded.

I really hope that applies to created players as well. That feature was so handy.

Since playoff mode is back can we for once have an online for that? Imagine going against other members from Operation Sports in online playoff mode, that would be awesome.

Or we can customize a 32 teams single elimination in playoff mode with created NCAA teams that would be cool too.

Can't wait to hear more on the online part of this.... Hoping for multiple seasons...
