EA Sports UFC 2 Game Update 1.08 & Content Update #5 Available Now (UPDATED)

Geoff Harrower, A.K.A. GameplayDevUFC, has been posting quite a few details on the upcoming EA Sports UFC 2 patch on his Twitter page over the past few days. While no date for the patch has been revealed, he has posted quite a few nuggets. Check out some of them below and let us know what you think!

AI will now perform takedowns after catch kicks
Improvements to AI stamina management. AI now more likely to take time between combos to regen stamina if low.
Tuned AI fighter tendencies for fighters who should throw more/less kicks
Improved judges scoring logic
And to top things off, there is a brand new move coming

UPDATE 6-27: EA Sports UFC 2 game update 1.08 and content update #5 are available now, below are some additional details.

This update adds three fighters, additional moves to Ultimate Team and Create a Fighter, and AI Tuning.

Josh Samman - Men's Middleweight
Lorenz Larkin - Men's Welterweight
Leonardo Santos - Men's Lightweight

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

Added Stockton Slap and Imanari Roll Takedown moves to both UFC Ultimate Team and Create a Fighter
Adjusted AI tendencies regarding Stamina Management and Kicking for specific fighters.

Well the patch will be out before ufc 200 so we should be getting him before ufc 200.

Hope we get fighters into other weight classes like Cerrone In welterweight and Lombard in middleweight.

AI improvements sound legit, especially the stamina management.

Here's hoping Nate Marquardt gets his spinning backfist and standing elbows for this patch or the following one.

GPD mentioned only 3(?) people have done it in the UFC. So it wouldn't be Standing Guillotine.

Ryan or uriah, second one is in and Ryan isn't big enough yet plus I don't think he'll last. He should never have been in the tuf finale even though he won

it might be the move rory mcdonald was trying on stephen thompson but couldnt get it.

if not it might be a flying scisscor heel hook from standing position.

If lorenz larkin is in this patch it might be a spinning leg kick.

or it could be some crazy kick yair rodriguez has done.

Is it too late to add to the patch the ability to block elbows from the sub side control position?

For this patch, yes since it will likely be released this week.

Until they fix the frozen attacker during a rocked state then they have a flawed game.

Hoping AI actually gets improved legitimately in this one so I can start my career mode LOL

stamina management was one of the worst parts so good to see they're focusing on that ---

Will it be in the next patch?

The lack of the ability to block elbows creates impatience in both fighters--the sub, has to spam transitions immediately, and the dom spams elbows and denials (why bother with knees to the body or try to regain stamina?).

No idea but if you want it to be the time to publicize that issue is now. The devs likely have 1 maybe 2 more weeks to put in changes for the next patch.

I suggest starting a thread to help bring it to their attention.

not much can be done about that as numbers are starting to dwindle, people would rather play anyone then wait for awhile.

Just imagine how much faster you will improve if you didn't have to fight weak opponents over and over. But mostly, it's better to have a fight than not.
