I think Cam is a logical choice. He was so close to being on the cover the last 2 years.

Would not mind Watt or Miller though. For me 16 is the most fun on Madden I have had since 10 dropped. Excited to see what they build on.

I'm really hoping we see a focus on line-play. Maybe JJ Watt on the cover? Not that I care at all about who's on the cover, but if the cover athlete is going to be indicative of what they worked on most, I hope it's a lineman.

LMAO at that Josh Normal Cover...doubt he will grace the cover. I agree with the peyton Manning cover since he retired with style and the curse wont be there to further EA bad track record with cover curses...unless Manning chokes on said coors light, or slips on a spilled coors light and hurts himself. LOL

Another good candidate would of course be the NFC MVP Cam Newton, but he wont because his post SB mess with press. But maybe.

Marshawn Lynch for the same reason as Peyton

I would also put the Luke Kuechly and Watt in there as a legit cover. Kuechly especially since he was WAAAAAAAY more valuable to the panthers than Norman and consistently puts up pro bowl numbers where as Norman just now is relevant in his late age

Think it's cam! Hopefully ESPN is a bigger part of the presentation this year

Wouldn't be amazed if Peyton was on the legacy edition for PS3/360 and Cam on PS4/X1

Definitely wanna see what the gameplay focus was this year. It's the first year I actually have no idea what they could try to work on. Not that the game doesn't need major work on the field, but this is the first year that there's no elephant in room as far as gameplay. Well besides the usually request for realistic animations and ai on offense and defense.

ESPN has been doing cover reveals for Madden for awhile, so i wouldn't read too much into them hosting this. They have had specials on the cover vote and even had the game show Madden Challenge.

Maybe its Peyton...Kind of like Kobe being on 2k next year.

I use to be so excited about the first announcement of Madden. Idk the excitement isn't there I'll wait and see tho before I completely write off the madden series.

I'm hoping for better line play and the removal of tied animations between the CB/WR. I would like to see JJ Watt grace the cover. Was a supporter of Cam's until his post SB press conference disaster.

Agree with Squid. Can't watch espn anymore unless its Stan Verrette and Neil Everette. Each year I keep saying I'm done buying Madden for a while, and end up still buying it. Madden 16 was the biggest frustration for me..

Game play, Madden 16 for me was a surprise and great addition for me. It was off the field that was disappointing.

I'm still playing Madden 16 in May, usually I'm done before the SB.

Agreed, however the line play and DB/WR interactions still leave a lot to be desired from me. DB/WR need their own seperate animations. This year, control was taken out of my hand way too often as I watched who would come down with the ball if either. I hate it when the ball is very catchable and my WR starts to play the DB because Madden said so while the DB gets the pick. Other than those two areas that I think need to be addressed the most. Madden 16's gameplay has me very hyped for what I hope 17 can become, which is the best in the series.

I'm interested to see what they do as well. With there being no real clear cut candidate I think it would be a great year to put AI at the forefront. I highly doubt it will happen but it's a huge area that is lacking and would help all around. The thing that keeps me skeptical about the line being changed is that they just went there in M15 so it's really quick to already be redoing or rebuilding on it. But I think it would be good to see some sort of upgrades in terms of multi-lineman animations and such similar to how they did WR/DB interaction last year which would be a big change to overall gameplay.

The one wildcard is that I feel like it is going to have to be something based around user control. So I could see them trying to implement a new passing system maybe but they have to be real careful with that given how the last time went. Outside of that it's hard to say. They could really use this year to clean up multiple areas and improve animations and more across the board without having to go all in on one thing.

I expect their primary focus this year was probably off-the-field modes as gameplay last year was a huge step forward (not saying it's perfect, but it was really good).

Gameplay wise - hopefully they've done something about special teams, as they've felt incredibly stale for years - especially kicking.

Really excited to see what they've done for CFM.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they go with multiple cover athletes, either differing by console or on the same cover like they did with Madden 10.

If they did dual athletes for the cover, I would like to see both Demarcus Ware and Von Miller as the athletes. Demarcus Ware might be a biased choice but it still makes perfect sense. Those two guys struck the fear into QBS last year. I heard Cam Newton looks both ways before taking out the trash now.

I'm not excited about cover athletes, I just hope the trailer gives me something to look fwd. to, last years trailer with all the crazy one handed catches they showed turned me off in a big way.

Hoping sense there was no real theme of the season this year besides two teams with dominant defenses, that EA just worked on the overall game and not just focused on one side of the ball over the other.

Cover will be Cam, can almost guarantee it
