MLB The Show 16 Trailer, Josh Donaldson is the Cover Athlete - Ships 3.29.16

Just announced at the PlayStation Experience, Josh Donaldson is the cover athlete for MLB 16 The Show. Will get trailer up in a bit. The game arrives on March 29, for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 (No Vita).

I made a The Show 16 thread out of excitement from the Playstation stream. If you guys want to or can delete it that would be cool.

I'm intrigued about that showtime icon that was in the trailer.

Looks like Classic Stadiums are back! Polo Grounds looking good.

To me, the most exciting part of the trailer was the part with the Blue Jays territory and fan numbers. Could this be an expansion/relocation mode?!

This looks great. That new fielding/hitting thing looks exciting. Hope we get a beta to play.

And that song sounds awesome. I want baseball back.

One thing I want: I don't want them to export players from the entire roster. Like right now, I've been up****** one of my team's rosters to fit signings/trades/minor league NRIs, and some of them were in the game at the beginning of the year but were exported since they play at the MLB level much. Guys like Matt Tuiasosopo and Reid Brignac. Maybe it's a data limit thing where they take them out when they create rookies mid-season, but I hope they resolve this.

Love the current player throwback cards, saw some good ones with Pujols, Ichiro, CC.

What is this? Some kind of Civilization-type gaming mode? Perhaps a more immersive Franchise mode like Madden's where you control more stuff that isn't on the field, like ticket/merchandise prices? Some kind of battle for fans or expanding territory? This would be fun with a team like Boston/New York/Atlanta or a team on the rise like Toronto. It does mention the use of a "turn" like that of the Civilization game.

"Conquer Territory"?
"Territory Defender"?

Some kind of marketing/finance mode lol? This sounds AWESOME.

i wonder what that fan thing was about. it showed fan base of the blue jays then on the right it showed conquer territory or territory defender locked.

The MVP Edition might just be a bunch of packs or RTS points or Franchise dollars, or something to do with the legend cards.

Oh my God, I had the biggest smile when they focused on pitchers getting out of the way of pitches right up the middle. It's like they know. THEY KNOW!!!

As always I hope new gameplay features are optional just in case they don't pan out

Closed roofs are in based on the HD video. The video in the OP cut it off. Rogers Centre was closed.
