NBA live has the worst animations out of all the sports games smh Garbage

Well, it looks better than 15, but as I stated before they are so far behind true competition won't happen in video game basketball this generation. In my opinion they still need to tweak their graphics and animations to form a true next gen foundation before adding extras. If this is the base they're rolling with for the next 3-5 years, it's not worth full price to me knowing what $60 can get you elsewhere for the same sport.

After watching this video, I will just wait until it is free through ea access. I find it quite comical that some people believe that this game is actually polished and ready for the big sales numbers. I still see alot of what was wrong with NBA Elite and every title that's proceeded it. We have all been suckered by the marketing ploy of showing close-ups of players through the replay function of the game. EA Sports developers are stellar with animation and realism in FIFA. However, some of their other titles need work big time.

Honestly, I really don't know how I feel about Live. I see some good here. I really do. And I see some of the same legacy issues that have been holding it back in my view. Live 16 looks like a step forward from 15 when i felt like it needed a leap. I will definetly give the demo a shot though and see what is what.

I'm semi pumped now, I think it looks just fine. Nothing spectacular, but nothing that really looks bad either. Looking forward to playing it. I'm sure I'll love it. Some nice animations going on. 3 point shots look very very good. I love shooting the rock!

First off I would like to acknowledge EA's efforts in bringing this game back. While they are still a ways to go, their hard work is noticeable. With that being said, after watching this video and all the other videos from shacknews's stream page I cannot and will not pay $60 for this game. I will wait for it to become available on EA Access. Animations are still off, lay-ups are too floaty, and it just doesn't look like real basketball. I will take $20 from the $60 I was going to spend on this and put it towards the MJSE of the other title. I'm so disappointed because for the 3rd year in a row I thought I would be having two good basketball games. And NO I haven't played it and nor will that change my mind UNLESS they drop some major patch that fixes the flaws.

I love how anyone finds something questionable in the video, someone pops up immediately and says "oh dont worry the day one patch will fix all that" but if this was NBA 2K then that would not been the response lol

I actually like this game and 2K though, so all in for both. I just hate the weird commentary from either side. You can support both games its not a crime

I appreciate having choices, thank you EA for that, however, I not impressed...I've said this for the last 3 Live games, it just doesn't look life like, nor next gen. I don't get distracted and immersed in game play action as I do with other titles, even other titles from EA...every one is robotic looking and I still don't see signature styles of play...I hope those that purchase live 16 enjoy it, but, they have a long way to go to earn my money.

Movement looks better, but why does the rim look so weird always in Live?

Until they start upping their game in Franchise mode I can't in on this game over the other, but it might be worth a pick up after it goes on sale.

It looks like an improvement from its predecessors (like that was hard to do) but comparable to the other basketball game it is not. There's just so much more going on under the hood in the other engine it leaves this one in the smoke.

Having more than one choice is never a bad thing, however, when the difference is this drastic the illusion of choice is just that, an illusion.

cool game, but doesn't grasp my attention at all

Doesn't look like basketball? I can't see what you're seeing. Looks like solid ball to me

If you have specific animations you'd like to see fixed, check out this thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-feedback.html

Some floaty things at the rim on occasion and passing looks a bit funny at times, but nothing really looks too way off. I think it's going to be fun. Regardless of the nitpicks haters always bring up, I say get over it . Base it on the fun factor.

# 115 DBMcGee3 @ 09/14/15 12:56 PM
Man, there are a lot of positives to take from this video, but for me, the lack of collisions and animations around the rim would be a deal breaker, assuming it isn't drastically improved by a patch, which I really don't think would be possible.

It's a shame, because the graphics are greatly improved and the overall player movement seems much better. At the end of the day though, I can't pay $60 for a game in which I'm cringing every time anyone drives the lane. How long have they been using that terrible hook shot animation now, 6 years? And is that the only shot animation they have in the post?

after 2k stole a bunch of Madden's sales, EA bought the exclusive rights to the nfl license. EA got scared because they knew 2k could make a better nfl game. so rather than improve their game, they just took the "easy route" and bought the license.
Not accurate at all. The NFL approached both EA and 2K to make the game exclusive (just like everything else with the NFL is exclusive), and EA won the bid.

But, anyway, back to the thread.

Thank you for being honest...

Way too many guys on here keep defending this game for sub par performances.

If EA doesn't feel any heat i doubt they will brake their necks to give us a complete basketball game any time soon.

Seems like some posters are willing to hold their hands like little babies...

This company (EA) already knows what it takes to make a good game they been in this business for over 25 years with sports games....

If the consumer kept delivering marginal results on his job he'd be fired by now....

The excuse for new systems and new builds get really old because no one else is doing this stuff but the NBA Live TEAM

Player models look fantastic on those closeups. Some very nice dunk animations too.
