NBA 2K16 Hands-On Preview

Wow.

That three-letter word sums up my quick trip to the 2K Hangar to get my hands on NBA 2K16.

Before I get into the nitty-gritty, this article will strictly be about on-court gameplay. MyCAREER information will be coming out on Monday, and you’ll find it here on Operation Sports. Also on Monday you will see some gameplay footage (at last!) from some of your favorite NBA teams.

Okay with that information out of the way, let's play basketball.

Does the shot clock reset after a blocked shot like it did in 2k15?

It's all about coding. They have to find a workaround to the PS4's recording. Also remember that something that seems minor can cause large issues. Hell, a few lines of bad code can break a game entirely.

Nah, didn't forget either one. Green has the talent but lacks any consistency on both sides of the ball - Boston got better once it moved him and moved Crowder/Turner into his spot/role - while VC is getting rather long in the tooth and had his worst season of his career last year. Doubt he'll find the fountain of youth and have any sort of positive impact.

VC shouldn't be a big time dunker, especially not in the game as his current self, anymore while Green is solid but not anything special. His dunk rating could be inflated since he has had a couple of "poster" dunks in the past.

Again just stating they have more perimeter options than you posted . Also adding in Matt Barnes who can shoot the 3 the Grizz will be a solid threat in the right 2k users hands . Some people can beat others in the post alone . No team is unusable , maybe Philly but that's it .

In the article he made it seem like Memphis will become a Cleveland, Golden State or (healthy) Oklahoma City online with users. They can't attain that level of popularity, IMO, cause they lack that dynamic perimeter player that casual users covet. I forgot about Barnes, but he isn't consistent enough from outside (mediocre three-point rating) and gives you a lot more on defense. They will definitely be one of the toughest teams defensively either offline or online.

Well Matt Barnes 3pt rating should be respectable seeing he was a 36% shooter last season a good increase of 19% from the year before .

From what i read it seemed that he was praising the defensive additions and that he feels whether or not someone cheeses this year with the defensive additions defense is going to be a leveler. Regardless of play style, just being able to play defense you wont feel as cheated.

That's pretty much what i understood from his post and i didn't see a problem

Actually, everything I said is relevant since Carter is old (deserves a low rating) and Jeff Green is an inconsistent (which is a rating) tweener that doesn't help a team as much as his talent should. Now, if he's one of those players that is exploitable (Rudy Gay, J.R. Smith and Gerald Green) then that changes things.

To my knowledge he isn't that type of player.
