NBA 2K16 Hands-On Preview

Wow.

That three-letter word sums up my quick trip to the 2K Hangar to get my hands on NBA 2K16.

Before I get into the nitty-gritty, this article will strictly be about on-court gameplay. MyCAREER information will be coming out on Monday, and you’ll find it here on Operation Sports. Also on Monday you will see some gameplay footage (at last!) from some of your favorite NBA teams.

Okay with that information out of the way, let's play basketball.

It got to that point eventually....but even with the testing it had a rough start...

Hopefully we can recapture that this year....(not the rough start) lol

I'd love to get into the online side of 2k, but that lag/input delay destroys any semblance of a decent online game.

Really hope there's improvements in this regard this season.

Loving all this especially the presentation stuff like the Pre-game, Half-time, and Post-game shows, the starting lineup introductions, and interviews with players and coaches between quarters.

I thought 2K15 made big strides getting shots to bigs (Not just off O Rebs). Don't base an assumption it's fallen away on one sentence played by someone playing one game when we have no idea about the settings/difficulty etc.

I had this problem where it took them 5 days to come fix a problem that didn't let me watch tv or use the internet at all, now I only pay 75 a month. Even then I never lag lol so I can't complain.

That's all good as long as there is a way to stop whatever you are doing. If you can find an exploit and do it play after play because there is nothing I can do to stop it then that defeats the point of playing. At that point its not about who is the better player but who can master the best exploit.

"Halftime show is better..." Better as in showing replays like NBA 2K9-14 did?? Or just the same dull Sprite presentation?

And we can do without the over emphasis on the cheerleaders. I get that you just wanted to show off tessellation but I've over it now. Thanks.

Who pissed in your cereals?

I appreciate all the info he's giving and where do you see emphasis on cheerleaders, just said they improved their routines as in it is not the same one from last year over and over.

I doubt people will run with Memphis online since they still lack a dominant individual scorer. Outside of Mike Conley and Courtney Lee, they can't hurt you from the perimeter and their bench scoring is pretty weak.

I just hope they aren't bugged out on PS4 again when playing 12-minute quarters.

I heard this isn't 2K's fault--that it has to do with the fact that the PS4 constantly records gameplay, in case you want to hit the Share button and stuff.

Well, in that case, how do I make it STOP recording?

Neither do I. Especially considering the Xbox one recods gameplay and the highlights work fine.

my only question is what do i buy it on ??? ps4, x1 or pc ??? always had it on x1 but since i got my ps4 for mlb i barely use it. Always thought the x1 has the best roster creators though.....decisions decisions decisions
