Actually, everything I said is relevant since Carter is old (deserves a low rating) and Jeff Green is an inconsistent (which is a rating) tweener that doesn't help a team as much as his talent should. Now, if he's one of those players that is exploitable (Rudy Gay, J.R. Smith and Gerald Green) then that changes things.

To my knowledge he isn't that type of player.

Well, Memphis has several players that are similar to those "videogame" players. Guys like J.R., and Gay are beasts in the game because of their skillsets but irl they are inconsistent. A guy like Jeff Green is one of those types of guys who plays the 3 and 4, can shoot the 3 and is athletic. Throw in their defense and the post play of Gasol and Randolph and they are a beast of a team. Then they have lots of shooting now with Carter, Barnes, Conley, and Lee along with an athletic big off the bench in Brandan Wright.
They'll never be as popular as the "cheesy" teams because they don't have that superstar casuals will know, but semi-knowledgeable and die hard fans will more than likely use Memphis a lot.

Memphis is a team that a principled fundamentally sound basketball gamer could use to win.

Spreading the points out and having a truly balanced attack means that VC will be used; not as he would in a classics match but as his role has evolved today.

A casual person might know who he is or even who he was but would they know how to best utilize VC in today's game?

Winning with Memphis might be harder than with other powerhouses but using the fundamentals built into 2K16 by Da_Czar and ScottOG it should be a satisfying win for simheads.

I'm aware it was only one game but if scoring on the Grizzlies' defense w/ OKC was a struggle, just imagine trying to score on the '04 Pistons or '08 Celtics. I really like this, it will teach novices and veterans like myself (since 2K7) a way of playing team ball and really rely on role players unless one is using the '07 Cavs.

Lastly, does anyone know if the classic team player models will look different from today's models, such as '01 Kobe actually looking younger from '15 Kobe or '06 Wade compared to '13 Wade?
