Kenny "The Jet" Smith has joined Shaquille O'Neal and Ernie Johnson in the NBA 2K16 pre-game, halftime and post-game shows. Check out the video here and post your thoughts!
Is anyone else out there thinking that Barkley could be holding up a possible TnT presentation or is it just me?
He's probably the reason 2k can't have TNT as they probably need the full cast to work out a contract, then again im not in business nor ever signed a contract soooo.
So happy to see The Jet back in the game. Kenny Smith is definitely one of my favorite people in the NBA family. Was hoping he'd be on commentary, though.

I rate Kenny.....I actually rate a lot of them. Reggie, C-Webb. I know a lot of people don't love Reggie from what I've read, I'm finding that when they announce whoever the 3rd guy is, there'll be a lot of unhappy people. From what I'm seeing, there are a lot of mixed opinions of everybody.
Side note: I am AMAZED that a 2K vid leaked...... they keep this s#!t classified like it's the FBI or something. Then suddenly a leaked vid...... !? It's a SET UP! There's a TNT bomb coming.....!!
Haha.....seriously though...... damn.
Actually what A.Holbert said about it costing a fortune and limiting their options (Doris/ESPN etc.) makes a lot of sense..... but the dream was nice while it lasted.....
Not a lot to complain about as a 2K fan that's for sure.
No. Barkley has nothing to do with it. I think 2k doesnt think its worth the money and resources to acquire the TNT mark. Especially when it means they would have to replace Doris Burke and maybe Clark Kellogg (Clark works for TNT sister company CBS so that may not be an issue).
I also have this vague recollection about 2K's desire to develop the 2K brand itself, both in terms of the shelving situation (they've switched to only red covers over the past few years to establish continuity) and perhaps in terms of in-game content (so when people see the game, they can become familiar and know it's NBA 2K).
That said, I'd still prefer real-life television integration. NFL 2K5 may still be at the top of that mountain.
Man, I'd be lying if I said this trailer didn't bring a tear to my left eye. I just skimmed thru it a little bit since I'm at work smh. Can't wait to actually hear it during my break.

Thats not it at all. Sony's NBA game had the TNT license years ago without the whole cast.

I'd prefer it but it really doesnt kill the immersion for me. It reminds me enough of TV (with the replays, camera angles and wipes) where I dont seem to care if it says 2k or ESPN or TNT. I'm very happy with the addition of Kenny though and the halftime and post game shows.
I didnt watch the video though. I know I'm buying the game so I'd rather until I play the game to see features like this.
Wooooorrrd!! Just need Sir Charles to, uhh, round things out. Ha. Maybe in 2K17! At any rate, I'm amped for this game already. Haven't been this amped for a NBA 2K game since they went to analog dribbling.
2K is just on another level. They are the Floyd Mayweather of sports gaming. They continue to set the bar. All other games need to take notice (yes I'm talking to you Madden). All I have to say is thank you 2K. You guys are the reason I haven't given up on gaming.
