Makes sense to me. One thing I love about this game is the traits matter. And I think it makes a differnece if you leave them open for them. Like in the video the CPU got a running start outside the box with the back 4 waiting for him in the box with the opportunity to shoot and not much else. I don't see why the CPU should just be jacking up long shots for the sake of it. They usually do a great job of taking whatever you give them.

On FIFA 15 I used to use the L1 to stop my player on a dime. I can't even remember what the actual purpose of the button was but I would use it when playing my friends to stop quickly and have them run right by me. Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about. Now with the new "no touch" controls L1 is entirely different.

Anybody know how I can recreate that? I'm not great with the skill sticks so I'm not sure if that's the secret.

R1 or R2 does this now, cant recall which. Check game controls screen, i looked for it other day too.

L1 is still to stop facing goal. You tap it. I use it all the time still.

For the new no touch dribbling (which seem just weird to me), you hold down L1.

Two things...

1) The CPU shoots from outside way more in the women's game mode and more lobs and crosses and through balls. But they do take long shots depending on your tactics and theirs. Part of where they shoot from depends on how you play. I tend to drop back and they shoot from outside a ton. My brother preasures the ball and they take less outside long shots.

2) I love this and went back to 15 to really see the difference. 16 is just way more fun. I will say the women's teams are more fun to play with and seem to represent how they play more accurately. Maybe that is just in my head because I am a girl and want it to be good. But I honestly feel like it is better and kinda wish they had just made a Women's FIFA I could buy... Though maybe few would have bought it.

You aren't the only one to say this so, it's not just because you're a girl lol

Thanks, guys. I'm relieved to know it's still there. I'll get back on the demo and play around with it.

A women's game wouldn't sell, but if they released a downloadable add on of the Women's World Cup (although at this point we'll be waiting until 2019) and added about 32 women's teams I would buy it!

Undoubtedly true.... I think if enough people play the women's teams and see how well they play that may happen. I mean a WWC game or dlc. Either way what they did with the women's teams is brilliant and tons of fun!!!

If I was a billionaire I would commission EA to make me a women's FIFA.. I like it that much.

The women's game is definitely more fun and wide open this year.

How does one...dribble? I don't need to do anything other than keep the ball at my feet when the CPU becomes magnetically attracted to me. E.g. Messi shouldn't have the ball ripped from him easily by crap defenders. I used precision dribbling in years past and refuse to learn Street Fighter dribbling combos.
I actually love the dribbling this year, I feel it's almost perfect.

L2 replaces precision dribbling in some situations. Try using that instead, as it will also help you shield while keeping the ball close. I find using Messi farrrrr more enjoyable and realistic. Just need to try and figure out how to nutmeg people consistently

I would buy a full on women's FIFA game. If it played like it does in this demo and had the North American, German, French and English leagues for career mode. And all the national teams. I would drop another $60 a year on that along with the main game. Without question. Its that damn good in this demo.

At the very least play it for yourself when it comes out.
Aren't you "picking sides" and not "play(ing) it for yourself" by not playing PES though?

Don't get me wrong, I'm strictly a FIFA guy to this point. Just thought you were giving advice that you don't take.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you said.

I know it's due to 4-minute halves but I just had +0 stoppage time in the first half of a match. Lol.

As long as they fix the +4 at the end of the 1st half which was a problem that was never fixed on 15.

I love this game. I honestly do. And I absolutely looooovveeee all of the little details that they are focusing on.

But this fullback thing is killing me right now. I set Barca's passing support to 95 (which is long). I hardly noticed a difference. The fullbacks still were too close to the middle offensively. I think I'm losing hope on this one, I'm not sure what else to try

Not really feeling the demo tbh. The players feel sluggish/clunky with little agility...they all just kinda feel the same. And the shooting is the biggest let down by far. Every shot feels slow..almost like a finesse shot. When im up close i usually want to just bang it in but they always do a finesse like shot and i don't like that...it just doesn't feel satisfying to score. The passing is the only thing I really like..tho it could still use some work.

I'll still get it and hopefully the full game is a little more like 15... If not then im selling it.

The women's teams are fun tho so that's a plus.

Not sure if sarcastic or serious.

I guarantee there are a ton of people who don't like how slow and less agile the players are. We'll see if FUTers force EA's hand and they patch it.
