2K has just released another NBA 2K16 video. This one features Mike Wang, Scott O’Gallagher and Jerson Sapida going over the new gameplay enhancements in the game this year.
Small nitpick, at 1:40 Curry fake cuts out and then back doors. Kyrie falls for it.
But the fake cut would mean Curry catches the ball out of bounds.....why would any defender bite on that?
So it just makes me feel like Kyrie is NOT aware of where he is as out of bounds is an obvious NON threat haha.....
So that seemed kind of canned to me and not really show casing player awareness to a situation.....
Hopefully I viewed that wrong and HOPEFULLY I didn't just shatter some peoples glass haha.....
Good eye. Hopefully the responses aren't canned. Curry wouldn't necessarily have to be catching the ball in that instance though...I can see a situation where Curry could of actually been cutting that way, maybe setting Kyrie to run into the screen....unless there was a rule change and you can no longer step out out of bounds in those situations...I'm honestly not sure.. I know there was a small rule change for guys like Chris Bosh who would camp out under the basket to space the floor..

True.... I suppose the other possibility is a defensive off ball setting where Kyrie was instructed to send baseline (new?) and hence he over played it to prevent a cut to the top?

Looked like he was setting him up using his momentum against him. Kyrie was playing ball denial and was overplaying and bit on the fake curl so Curry went backdoor. Curry's foot touched out when he launched but after that he was back in bounds and can receive a pass on his cut to the basket. Bradley Beal did the same thing when he tried to use the Gortat screen to get open on the right elbow. As he was running out his left foot touched out which is totally legal and happens a ton on the baselines and sidelines with shooters trying to run off screens since there's not much real estate.
I do hope though that what happens to the defender is not predetermined.
Fundamentally, every single game relies on a good motion system, and basketball is no different. Situational movement gives the players the ability to detect when and how to move around the floor.
I hope this applies to pick-and-roll as well. Slipping screens (especially if the screener sees that the defense intends to show/hedge or trap the ballhandler) is a big part of pick-and-roll.
I don't wanna be that dude either, but around 2:00, LeBron pulls out a Jordan-esque rock-the-baby dunk in the half-court. But at the same time, there's no one there to challenge him and he's all alone in the air. It might kinda make sense if it was contextual.
It will be an amazing experience offline for sure, but then comes the online part. If they are not going to fix that input lag and horrible servers thers no way im gonna buy this game.
Why does it looks like the jerseys are glued to the players lower stomachs even when they bend over. Not too much of problem but its kind of a eye sore considering how good the rest of the game looks.
