2K has just released another NBA 2K16 video. This one features Mike Wang, Scott O’Gallagher and Jerson Sapida going over the new gameplay enhancements in the game this year.
Concerning rookie scans....I think they are already in the disc and just needs a roster update so that they will be in game. They did this in past 2k games for those that remember....
Now this is what I've been waiting for !! Physics , foot planting , blocking all sounds dope. They've done a really great job with facial expressions and celebrations . Brings so much life to the game .
Wow! All this looks and sounds amazing! I've wanted this type of stuff for years with players having ability to read defenses and screen knowing whether to curl, or flare, and now coaches will adjust game plans from game to game? Wow! And super excited post game got redone completely! The crowds looked incredible as well! Super pumped! This 2k dev team has got to be the best in the biz!!!
saw a ton of new contact animations in there as well
Slightly OT, but just an observation: notice how 2K is managing all these reveals:
They put out video accompanied by an in depth blog explanation and deep dive.
I actually think that's a good thing, and preferable to random video gameplay leaks where we get imperfect smartphone video without context, leaving us with a ton of questions and misconceptions that await answers.

Yeah. The wait sucks but this is a better, more controlled way to detail the new additions.

Not only coaching adjustments, but perhaps different approaches to adjustments in playoffs or big games.
Notice how OG said in the video that Pop may stay with Spurs basic PnR defense in the regular season, but change over after a game one playoff loss. Couple that with the bit in the blog about "intensity" and the game recognizing crunch time or other critical game dynamics.
This also makes me curious to know more about what they mean in the video about "storylines." Do they mean what the blog talks about, where hot players can emerge with more variation game to game, not just stars?
Or does it mean that CPU and maybe even commentary will recognize standings, division rivalries, etc., and that will in turn affect the "living world" of the games and even coaches' approaches to making adjustments? Will coaches even change up game plans if they lost a previous game to a team, trying to adjust?
Really intrigued by that whole "intensity" and "storylines" stuff, and curious as to how far they go.
Wow, this is what I brought up in my 2k movement video. From that Ben McLemore clip it looks like guys will actually run naturally in the open floor (at least I hope). I also noticed that it appears we were correct when that Gamescom vid leaked and we said it looked like Harden didn't miss one step on the fastbreak. It was like every step was accounted for and he didn't even warp when going into the dunk animation and this confirms it. I just hope the new locomotion works as advertised.
Smaller things I noticed:
-OJ Mayo's hair is bananas! It looks like a full head of what Martell Webster had as a mowhawk last year, which I have to say I actually kind of like (just wish it was a little darker and not so greyish). My main man Swaggy P also looks to have a new mohawk (I just wish they could finally give Dwight a fauxhawk instead of that Brock Lesnar cut....
-The body scans done by PGS look freaking incredible, my god. They REALLY bring the models to life I'd say.
-New scans everywhere in this video. The most welcomed and most notable are Mario Chalmers, Chris Bosh(looks great finally), Loul Deng, Giannis, and JR Smith. Unfortunately, it appears Jared Dudley and Dwyane Wade didn't come in for a scan again.

Definitely, it's a noticeable improvement. I wonder if they still use the people that do the GTA games to do the facial animations.
Btw,you happy your Spurs are finally getting some love lol. LMA putting you guys on the videogame map.

Hopefully this applies to MyCareer too, and we will have our coaches battling it out and making on the fly adjustments without us being in control.
