I feel like my impressions are very similar to most on here, I'm hoping we see big improvements in the coming years in CFM as far as depth and customization, immersive presentation, better commentary, etc... That's exactly what I told the devs too the times I went down there this year. Gameplay is not perfect but it's definitely improved in a noticeable fashion. I have yet to start a CFM but plan to after they patch the issues currently affecting it. I gave M15 a 7.5, I'm giving M16 a 8.5 after roughly 55 hours of play time with it.

I only buy each sports game once every few years (Football, Basketball, etc). I don’t have a ton of time to play and I like to make it a long ways into my Franchise.
I wasn’t real impressed with the new features, so think I will wait 1 more year to get a Football game. Do you guys think that is a good idea or is this one that great I should get it for the next few years?
Also, I haven’t decided on a PS4 or Xone yet (So I wouldn’t get the game right away). I’ve just been using my 360, playing basketball a lot.
Any thoughts?

I gotta say the player models as a whole are much improved this year. I'm surprised this wasn't hyped more. The lighting alone is miles ahead of where it was last year.
And I love that Julio's jersey is finally fixed!

It's not perfect, but this year is a huge improvement. For the first time in about 5 years, I'm actually really having fun with the game. Been going through the motions the last few years without even realizing it until now. Well done Tiburon.

With that said, Madden 16 has been so much fun, probably most i've ever had since 2005.
Trust me man, get the game. You'll love it. I played CCM out of the box, All Pro w/ Slow speed, 15 minute quarters and 16 acc clock. I'm getting challenged!
I could tell this years Madden dev team really put some hard work into it. They wanted to make a game where it would impress us all after all these Maddens that came out prior to.
Needless to say, I am very impressed. I hope they keep up with the patches for the bugs. If they do this, they will regain fans they've lost and bring some new ones in.

Couldn't agree more with this impression. I too, have been playing the game for about a week and have been really looking forward to seeing something new each time. I'm not that into MUT, but the New Fantasy draft teams are very nice touch.
Def worthy of your hard earned cash!!!!

I actually plan games out now w/ Madden 16 since players seem to play to their strengths. I check out the OL of the opposite team and depending on who the QB is (Is he mobile or pocket), I will adjust accordingly. Then I will pick a player to attack the weakest OL so it can open up holes for my blitz.
Same goes for Defense. If I got two strong DBs defending my WRs, but weak on my slot WR, i'm going to open up the slot w/ run plays often, penetrating the weak spot of the defense.

I like the fact that the ratings matter. Better players will exploit weaker players. I also like the detail in the game, for instance when you enter the red zone it gets harder to score.

Hopped on and started a fantasy draft CFM. Random draw gave me the Buccaneers and the 18th pick. Always draft as young as possible and defense over offense. Won my season opener against the Titans 24-3 on default All-Pro. The game is very polished for the most part. I like that QBs scramble and throw it away when they have nothing. I held the Titans to 176 yards of total offense, so I might need to beef the CPU offense a bit. They held me in check a lot of the game though. A lot of stuff that worked in past years doesn't work anymore. I'm going to have a ton of fun with this game I think!
EDIT: And I guess my connection to the EA servers dropped, so that game didn't count. That's really annoying.

I like this game, and it is easily the best game since Madden 05. I can see myself playing this later into the year than I have been lately. Fingers are crossed for an equipment update (mouthpieces, single arm sleeves, etc).
Best madden ever but CAN THEY FIX THE BROADCAST MODE? it's all interverted fix the controls with the broadcast mode with a patch

I find the run is useless except to run down the clock...M15 was easy too run in, and M16 I believe is a little too difficult; need a happy medium..
Also feel that zone defense has been toned down; probably M2M is the way to go now..

In the other impression thread I said how the commentary in franchise mode was improved because it actually mentioned Brady was leading the league in TDs as he came out.
Well the next week commentary took a turn for the worse. I'm playing the colts and it mentioned the same exact 2 minute story about the 21-3 comeback of the colts 3 times in the same game. It then mentioned how Andrew luck was having a bad game after he was great last (this is said while the stat banner shows his stats from last week with 1td and 3 int)
As for stat banners, I'm in week 6 and all I have seen is QB and hb comparisons, last week vs this week stats for a player, and stats for a player early in the game and late. Nothing related to my franchise at all. Unless I scroll through menus I have no clue what teams are good or what players are playing well. At least I know who is good in real life. If your a few years into a franchise you really have no idea who's good unless you manually do it yourself.
I also think the pregame scenes when they show players warming up could easily add banners highlighting or comparing players

Finished the 10 hour trial and I've never had more fun playing a Madden game.
But I'll be waiting to buy to see if they fix the CFM bugs.

If it replicated Tecmo Bowl's side view, it would be glorious! Or have the camera pan out more to show the WRs after the snap.
I extended my lunch break after picking the game up so I could play a little. I didn't get to play much, so these are very very early impressions.
It feels like a refined version of M15 to me. That's not a knock, since I liked M15. It feels much more polished and balanced this time around.
Gameplay in the little bit I played felt good. The new UI is a big improvement. I like the new passing controls. I like that they redid the uniforms (kudos, Kane) and uniform select screen (it's a tiny thing, but not having "2012 uniforms" in there any longer just makes it feel like they're sweating the details now).
I'm not crazy about the little stat bubble. I wish I could turn that completely off, but it doesn't show up that often. I wish they had put the Zoom cam from M25 back in. I loved that camera.

This is the first madden I brought since Madden 10. I borrowed the last two from a friend. Madden 16 is fantastic. Sure there are some things I don't like (warp DL tackles on RB's) but overall this madden is easily best since Madden 05 in my eyes. I love the new passing control and it's nice to see great WR/DB interactions. Also No super LB's!
As a FIFA player and especialy FUT, MUT is so much better it's not even funny. Control wise the menus in it and editing your team is clunky. Like why can't I just edit a lineup from scratch? Outside of those little gripes. MUT is far superior over FUT. I really love the fact there are tons of Solo challenges and opportunities to get coins and good players. FUT seems way more grind-y. Also, Draft Champions being a free mode opposed to FUT draft charging 15k coins or 300 FIFA points is another plus for Madden.
I have yet to delve into Franchise, but from what I read the training still seems pretty deep. I just wish we could create draft classes ala NBA 2k.
With all this said, Madden 16 is by far my favorite in over 10 years. This game captures the greatness that early to mid 2000s madden's had on the field. With MUT being so addictive I see madden cut into my FIFA time this year easily (I played 1300 hours of FIFA last year).
If I had to put a number on it 8.8/10
