In one of the Gamescom interviews Bhatti was talking about the new collision system and how you can now use the R stick to fend off or engage contact.

Try it. I forgot about his interview and remembered it during a match and started using R stick and wow, there is a whole slew of animations tied to R stick.

It works as an active shield button, meaning your player will contort and move his body and arms and jump and avoid tackles, etc

Still trying to figure out exactly how it works but as of now if I have the ball, I move the R stick away from the pressure, if I am fighting for a 50/50 ball I move the R stick toward the CPU player to "fight" for the ball.

Hope this is happening and not just words.

crunkman@crunkboy2 6h6 hours ago @officialpes shooting in demo is too easy, should me more manuell. Almost no fouls in the game, especially from the AI

Pro Evolution Soccer@officialpes 6h6 hours ago @crunkboy2 We're still fine tuning the referees and other details for the release. Thanks for the feedback!

Very encouraging to read, I noticed they are taking a lot of feedback from people based on this demo.

We need to bombard them on social media about fouls. Everyone for whom it is a problem, simply tweet them about it, or post on Facebook or something about it.

It boggles my mind how developers will have one thing holding their game back from greatness, yet refuse to implement it. It's stunning quite frankly.

He said they would take on feedback and use it to improve.

See this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8R5lhLotdg
The 60fps really makes it look very fluid.

I honestly have little interest in buying the full game if fouls aren't addressed. I would rather deal with all of FIFA's issues, as bad as they are. Sadly, we saw how FIFA thrived in the years when their game had almost zero fouling, so I'm not too optimistic that Konami will noticeably alter that part of the game this close to release.

Thanks for the info my friend....Really lookin' forward to giving this new iteration of PES a run! From the videos I have seen, it looks pretty good (albeit, more fouls would be great)!

EDIT: @lightdreams - Thanks for the heads up in the previous post! Am downloading as we speak!

It is available on PS4. Search Pro Evolution.

Really enjoyed the demo. One thing I noticed is you can edit your game profile as you select sides, this enables you to increase the amount of tackles your ai teammates make etc. There's a bunch of options there, so it's worth having a look.

the foul system is actually worst than last year in this demo.. however, with that said everything else as far as gameplay is better and really good I think. The game plays great basically except the foul system is worst from last year. You can get away with even more harsh challenges in this demo than in PES 2015 imo...

they can't release the game like this... no way. you will have people just doing what I described the entire match making it pointless to play against other humans ever. You could not do this with as much success in PES 2015 even. If you guys don't believe me... try it yourself. Specially try to hurt the other players the entire match. I did this and I was amazed at how much I could hack the entire match... it was actually a quite successful tactic. I even beat the computer AI on top player by doing this
I assume they will not release it this way, hopefully that tweet about them still tweaking referee logic really happens because it is almost impossible to commit standing tackle fouls.

I'm having a lot of fun with this demo. Now if only they could give us Xbox One users a way to share files, it would be an insta-cop for me. Generic badges, teams names, and kit were huge turns off for me but the gameplay on this years game alone might sway my mind.

I'm amazed there are still some people here that will buy a sports videogame while the devs don't even implement basic rules of the sport.

Really, that did not stop people from buying FIFA for many years.

Ball physics and A.I. are still major issues.

No pass and shot variety, way too sharp and laser esque. Off ball players seem to have no understanding of basic tactical movement whatsoever.

Anyone know if you can play this demo online against others?- I'm on U.S.- Xbone

Yep, and this demo is getting near universal praise. No reason for Konami to change anything. People love it because it's fast and it's easy to score goals. Even saw a review on Pesfan saying that it's more fun because there aren't annoying fouls to slow down the flow.

This game will more than likely get slightly better reviews than last year from IGN etc, but for those of us who play hundreds and hundreds of matches throughout the year, it'll get old quick like Pes 2015.

Some of the comments in here are shocking and show a lack of knowledge about the game of football.

I wont pick out specific users or comments because id hope they are aware of what they are saying, if not they are here to troll.

Anyway, with regards to the fouls, I agree it has been toned down, although ive drawn probably 1 every other game... not enough, but they happen, so its a case of tightening up the ref, but not too much as the game flows nicely right now.

Is it perfect to represent the game? Of course not, nothing ever will be its a computer game that relies on code, however its the best by a long shot in terms of gameplay that we have had for a long time. Plenty of variety so far for me, a few niggles here and there, but you get a good game of football that you can by and large control, which will do me for now.

It is a lot of fifa fan boys. I follow these guys from the FIFA sliders page. Saying there are no passing differences in this game but in FIFA you can NEVER curl a pass to your guys running down the flank. Just interesting to see different opinions. Also a lot of complaints about AI movement off the ball which is so much better than FIFA. I never had a player make a run in FIFA ever and the defense were as dumb as bricks. I play with fluid formation a little and can get solid defensive results on PES.
