NBA 2K16 News Post

The 2K Pro-Am is coming to NBA 2K16, but what does it mean exactly? It obviously has something to do with professional and amateur players, but to what extent? There was nothing related to a 2K Pro-Am in the NBA 2K16 achievement list, which revealed quite a bit of information, so we are left scratching our head until 2K gives us more details.

We will update this post or create a new one when more details become available, but until then, what do you think this could be?

IDK what this is but it has people on twitter going crazy lol, tbh I hate to read too much into the pic posted, but I mean it really looks like it will have something to do with your myplayer, now idk what that means..but lets hope that means we can squad up with other myplayers online and play as a team

Maybe has something to do with MyCareer?

Was this a message for 23?

I love 2K11 as much as the next dude, but seriously, lets be real here.
Yes 2k11 had less cheese than2k15. In fact I'd argue that 2k15 has more cheese than any game in the series. The Zig zags, the perfect release lamarcus aldridge form cheese, the screens under the basket to get the rebounds.. The crazy OP badges.

I can't stand 2k15 online. I spent 3x as much time playing online in 2k11 than I did in 2k15. This game has literally turned into nba jam the past couple of months

What if ProAm is a new way to name Park Affiliations?

I'm still waiting for LD presences in this thread to troll us lol.

My interest is piqued. I hope its something of substance and not just a previous feature renamed.

Bottom line for me, take away hacked players. JRC is "cheesier" than 2K11s Crew. Sorry it boggles your mind.
2 words "Spin Dunk"

Seems like MyCareer got a lot of attention. Can't wait to hear everything about it. We also better be able to change jerseys finally this year.

If this is something like a drew league thing that would be amazing and give me a reason to play deeper into MyCareer. If it's crew mode that's good too, since I never got the chance to play the original crew mode. I just wanna know what this is regardless.

If this is a new league for MyCareer, I hope this means offseason is more eventful!

So it's Jordan rec after patch 4 just without 79 other guys on your screen?

Hopefully you can actually play with friends and matchmake instead of waiting forever for games.

Hope you can design jerseys and even run plays. If it's supposed to be like a league for my players then it would be cool to have weekly/monthly tournaments or playoffs with VC bonuses or something like that.

Sounds to me like it is a revamped version of the Jordan Rec Center.

Sorry my opinion doesn't warrant your valuable consideration. I guess I'm one "those" guys. All I'm saying is that I can make a laundry list of issues from 2k11 that were gone by 2k15.

Pro am = Jordan rec
Professional and amateur = my career players in the NBA and others that haven't declared yet

If I had to take a guess, this ProAm event in 2k16 takes the place of the "Elite vs Stars" game 2k14 had take place in New York for MyCareer. I wouldn't be surprised if it was nothing but a re-skin.

Ofc, I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again. Best case scenario is they take it in the direction of what happens in Seattle with the ProAm event that takes place every off-season gor whichever mode it is in.
