Madden NFL 16 News Post

EA Sports has just posted their Madden NFL 16 presentation details. Madden fans will see "On the Field" cameras, which really get close to the action, during their biggest moments. Whether that be touchdowns, sacks or trash talking. They have also added a new Wirecam, which is similar to a broadcast Wirecam, but much better, since it is positioned right next to the QB.

Improving the crowds was one of the many improvements for Living Worlds. You will see crowd props, including rally towels for the stadiums that feature them, fan signs, foam fingers and female fans in the game. Crowd signs will be team specific, and you will see fans head track the action on the field. The stadium atmosphere has been improved with team specific chants and fight songs.

Everyone in the crowd and on the sidelines will wear official apparel from the NFL shop. This includes jackets, long sleeves, winter hats, and other weather-appropriate gear. Speaking of weather-appropriate gear, you won't see any members of the media wearing shorts or kneeling in the snow this year, you will see them in their appropriate colored media vests.

The Steadicam operator cameraman will be seen in various places during the game. He will actually come out on the field and get an ISO closeup shot after touchdowns. Some of the post play action shots will be seen from his vantage point.

Post-play behaviors continues to get a huge push with more signature celebrations and related content, as well as the addition of opposing team post-play interactions. There was a big focus on cleaning up behavior after the play, including pile avoidance, how players decelerate, and how/when they react with one another. The team also added new animations for when players are frustrated with whomever is on the other side of the line.

All-new “Drive Starters” add more context and storytelling to our commentary this year. Drive Starters take place on each change of possession, and provide storytelling commentary and visuals to highlight key performances and game trends. With more than 200 unique story types and hundreds of commentary improvements, Drive Starters tell the story of a game like never before.

On the audio side, the team went to great lengths to ensure Madden NFL 16 is the best-sounding game in franchise history. The return of EA Trax allowed us to implement several new events to play in stadiums during games, and new IR Reverb tech gives each stadium a whole new feel.

The colors, specifically orange and yellow, are more vibrant and look a lot better than the one from the presentation blog. But I'm pretty sure the one they tweeted is just photoshopped because the difference looks a lot like what I did with the screenshots I took from M15.

To me it looks like what I remember of Madden 16 when I changed their monitor from standard to dynamic lol, the colors definitely popped when I did that, especially for night and indoor games, looked like SNF.

I don't see one bit of difference in those 2 pictures.

Lol. I can't tell any difference either. It's kind of like those comparison video's on YouTube. I never can tell the difference

Are the fans signaling first down? If so that's pretty cool.

Yeah, I don't see any difference. Some of you guys must have some good eyes. I never see the difference when people compare system pics either. So I don't know.

The differences are subtle enough that it could just be them saving the screenshot to a different file type. I'm pretty sure you could make your TV give you either of those two depending on settings.

don't know why it changed from one screenshot to another, but the obvious difference is in the 2nd screen, the Bengals endzone is OUT-of-focus, with the focus solely on the Steelers player

Might be you guys' monitors but there's a difference in the two.

Colors are way more vibrant in the second one. I'm guessing it was touched up before it was tweeted. EA's been known to brush up some of their screens, sadly.

The orange in the endzone is the only difference I see. The one tweeted out by EA is darker and deeper shade of orange.

# 272 Danimal @ 07/14/15 04:39 PM
One image is off a web page so being directly linked from an image directory and the other is a twitter pic.

I'm pretty sure twitter compresses the images when you upload them that way which could account for the difference.

Either way when you point it out I noticed the orange is a little different. I guess I was looking for something major the way it was presented here.

Can't believe this went to 14 comments so far. Lol.

This has become the "What color is the dress, is it black/blue or white/gold" version of Madden forums conversation :P

Seriously though, hope the color scheme for the released game is more vibrant in general.

Lol, I didn't mean to derail the thread. It was something that I immediately noticed because it had been a problem for me last year and something I noticed even more when I'd edit screenshots so maybe that's why it was so much more noticeable to me. My bad, guys.

This is what I was talking about from M15:

Spoiler

And I don't know if this will show the differences better or not but:

Spoiler

You didn't derail the thread but your original post was a little vague. I was looking for a guy with no head or a missing camera man or something

Yea I didn't catch at first either. But in that second photo the orange in the Bengals endzone was darker it looks more red than orange.

I'm a Chiefs fan and my fear is if they put this in the game it will come under attack and be labeled racist by the over sensitives in this country, just as the Redskins logo and name has.

Well, FSU had the Chop song and it worked just fine.

I'm sorry how does one the the devs "believe" it is in the game? He either knows it or he doesn't at this point in the process.

Don't post vague things like this unless you're going to cite your source.
