To be fair, every single year (whether it's on this forum or another) I see a lot of complaints from a significant amount of people with respect to Madden's gameplay. So it's not like I am the only one. Far from it actually.
I really hope this year is different, because I love football. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong with Madden 16.
Hopefully Madden 16 can prove a lot of people wrong gameplay and CFM wise mostly, but quality of recent madden games tells us not to have such high expectations for the game. Presentation improvements, such as a stats ticker in CFM and an improved half time show, hopefully made it into madden 16

I'm not saying you are the only one. I'm just saying if you think the graphics arent good and you think the gameplay isnt good....why do you care what the presentation is going to look like?
Who buys a game with subpar gameplay and graphics?
The thing that's funny to me is EA makes an announcement for an announcement. I guess to build hype, I get that. But I gaurantee that more than 85% of the people who buy madden have no idea an announcement has been made at all. Only the same small percentage of people who check these forums everyday. So why mess with that small group of people? What purpose does it serve? I'm not bashing them, I guess I just don't get marketing.
Every company does it. 2k just announced the cover athlete for the next WWE game after announcing that the announcement would be made today.
The trick in marketing is to give people enough to keep them interested while not giving away too much too soon. I'd make an analogy about a certain adult activity but it is too early in the week to get banned
95% of the people acting like they can't wait will be complaining seconds after the info drops so why not just chill? I've learned to temper my expectations when it comes to EA..
I'm sure there's a reason why the information has not yet been released. We have to remember, EA doesn't have to release a blog to the public as a way of marketing the game; they could just use commercials, because the game will sell regardless. Them releasing information to us is a "nicety" and shouldn't be an expectancy. This since of entitlement, I just don't get, neither do I understand. As a company, they have no obligations to us, as far as releasing certain information. We're all hungry for information but complaining about something that is completely out of our control is nonsense. Remember, patience is a virtue.
You are right, they don't have an obligation to release information. It's when they officially announce they are going to do it that it does in fact become an obligation. This has absolutely nothing to do with entitlement, why wouldn't people be upset it they are awaiting information about presentation that was promised within a timeframe that has now passed?

Maybe because people are more understanding in business situations, miscommunication happens on a daily basis.
Maybe because people started leaving on Thursday from work for the holiday weekend and it was a short work week.
Why be upset when this happens all the time in business?
Oh come on, you can't compare yourself to the EA Sports marketing dept lol.
Why not? If you've read the thread you would have seen that almost every other argument used for why this is a big deal starts with, "at my job if I have a presentation due and don't do it I get in trouble" etc....
So now that it shows a different light it can't be compared to our job? Okay.
They'll release it, and you'll probably complain that they didn't add X,Y,Z features.
You'll get the same amount of info as you would've if it were release a week ago.
Did you take off work or clear your schedule so you could read or watch a 5 minute exerpt of what you will have unlimited access to in a month?
Is this going to deter you from buying the game? If so, I question your reasoning of being on these forums.
Lastly, I would understand the uproar, if today they said that the gamd will be delayed for a week, or month. Some people take vacation to play madden, some people, thats what they look forward to every year. But this is not the case. It's going to be a clip and small read about what is and isn't in the game. This is so miniscule and people are too offended. They don't owe us anything, they could go all off season, hit e3, and stay quite until release and peope would still buy it.

I haven't as I honestly don't care when they release it. But someone at EA spent their time making that image they posted on twitter saying news was coming last week. They know how big of a following Madden has, and they know people were waiting for the info day in and day out. So to give no update on the failure to deliver is strange for a company of this level.

I see your point, but if it wasn't posted by Thursday, Friday was July 3rd. More than half of the country takes off of work on that day. Why would people be hanging out on Friday waiting for the info to drop on a holiday weekend? Just doesn't makes sense to me.
This is the same reason why companies won't pinpoint a date when a patch will arrive.
All people need to do is write it off as business miscommunication and the holiday week crept up on them.
They did make an error in announcing information will be coming later in the week, no doubt.

LOL. This case had nothing to do with a sense of entitlement.
They got fans (myself included) excited to see new information on the game. Don't tell me that you are going to deliver something during a set time period, and then not show up at all. Or make matters worse by not explaining why you never showed up. It doesn't matter if it is "free" or not. Look, my game is already on pre-order. But in the future, just release the information when it is ready. As one person said earlier, "an announcement about an anouncement"? Get at me when it's ready

Sounds kinda like the whole Rocket League situation for North America - and that's an actual GAME that got jerked back from when Sony first said it would be out, not just info about a game.
It happens. Especially in this industry. And it still won't stop me from picking the game up whenever it does go live (hopefully today).
honestly, at this point this thread might as well just be closed lol. It's going nowhere and we have just as much information as we had 8 days ago: NONE
