You said you've played the game for dozens of hours.
We've seen the many videos posted from E3.
The game is to be released in about 50 days.
The fact that you're hyping this "news" much more than EA has been should be indicative of big changes coming in regards to presentation. It'd be quite telling otherwise...
Why the hell would they advertise something (a presentation reveal, this week) and not follow through on it?
Building up anticipation is one thing. Not following through on your word is another.
Technically the week is not over also they have done this before. I don't remember exactly when but they promised a reveal one week in the past and it happened the following week.

Yeah, it's a bummer. Just playing devil's advocate here... they could release something tomorrow or Sunday and it would still "technically" be within a week - not that i think that'll happen with it being a holiday especially.
Who knows though, they could have rigged it to publish automatically over the weekend, which is terrible marketing if you ask me, but I digress.
I will forgive them for this MASSIVE betrayal if they blow me away though. It's not like delaying news is going to push the release date further back. *knocks on wood*
True, but NHL and Live both had presentation information released this week in blogs
Haven't we seen come gameplay clips from E3? The presentation in those vids looks awfully similar to madden 15... No wonder why nothing has been released yet
My earlier comment about there being no improvement was intended more as a joke than anything else, so my apologies if it came across as disparaging. I try to give EA the benefit of a doubt and be happy with whatever they improve because I know I'm ignorant as to the countless programming hours and technical prowess required to produce a game.
I just love football. I don't post to OS often, and I don't play video games, but I will always play Madden because it is football. I want the game to compare favorably to others in the sports genre. To me, it's just not on par with FIFA and NBA2K in terms of immersion, whereas this wasn't always the case.
One thing that is unacceptable is the reintroduction of old features as groundbreaking. Our requests and ambitions for Madden have become laughable - formation subs, realistic on-field injuries and sliders that work - all things that were in this game a decade ago. Presentation can take a back seat until they give me a football experience I enjoy as much as FIFA and Nba2K.

They're not done yet, presentation usually is one of the last things that they add to the game. I know for a fact they have a blog coming out about it, just not sure when it will be out. When it is released they will talk about some things that you may or may not have noticed in the E3 videos.
I think the Madden team would honestly benefit from NOT announcing an announcement of features. This isn't the first time they've done this or wait until the very last minute of the week.. It's annoying.
If they just waited until it's ready and post it, they'd have less backlash. When they announce a reveal, if something goes wrong and can't rrlease it, they just add on to the issues with EA that is always in the back of consumers minds.
Its happened before I rather they come correct than showing something that's not what they want to fully show.
For me presentation is cool but the glitches and not giving the feel of how the game is flowing and what's being shown is a disconnect for me. So I'm just gonna sit back and hope it wows me like some of the game play has done.
They have until the 6th to show this presentation, since that's when the 7-day period we call a week ends from when they made the announcement. How is that a hard concept to grasp? People saying they're going back on their word and it's only been 4 days... Lol

On my calendar, going from left to right, the first day of the week is Sunday, and the last day is Saturday
I think the expectation was for today (Friday) at the latest, because it is the end of the [work] week. And when you consider that today was an observed holiday for much of the U.S., most people were expecting it on Thursday. Revealing big product information doesn't typically happen on the weekend when people are out & about doing their thing, it'd fall on too many deaf ears ...

Interesting. The announcement about the presentation was made June 29th at 7am. If you look at your trusty calender, a week from that day is July 6th. I understand it says "coming this week", but they could be implying that the 29th is the start of their scheduled week.
The fact people feel entitled to information about a game we haven't even bought is pretty sad. The fact they share this information with us is a privilege. Now if they go past that 7-day period, then y'all can complain. But until then, the self-entitled path is the wrong one to go down.
Just my opinion. I'm done responding. Don't want to derail the thread.
Anxious to see what the presentation is about! Hopefully half-time show or maybe a weekly round-up show.

Heh, smart. Let's ignore all understandings we've ever known of the phrase "this week", and we'll let them define it for us. You obviously are confusing the phrase "coming this week", for "coming in the next week" or "within a week". You emphasized "coming this week" and you're still trying to spin it into a different meaning.
