- 1:45 Kyle has never heard of Jimmy Garoppolo... :/
- 14:10 Kyle asks if they tested the Gang Tackling with 12 defenders on one guy to see what it looks like. He does know there are only 11 players on defense, right?
- 17:30 Kyle wants him to do a fake FG. I'd only imagine when he plays, he never punts or kicks extra points as well.
- 19:49 Kyle asks, and I quote. "I have to ask why your fan base wanted penalties?" I can only assume this is his first year to play Madden.
- 20:20 He catches the pass out of bounds with 2 seconds left in the half and one of the Madden guys tell him to challenge the play. Do they know the rules of the NFL?

I can only imagine when they finish the game and play it in the office they just throw bombs, never run the ball, only run hurry up offense to speed up the game, never punt, never kick FG's/Extra Points. It's probably the complete opposite of sim football. Why don't they let people who actually watch the NFL and what happens on Sunday's play these games to give them accurate feedback?
tbf he did realise his mistake almost instantly.

Would like to see some gameply against a 90+ overall corner.. Because if the same results still hold, sure there's a lot of back and forth and both the WR and CB go for the ball, but the WR won almost every jump ball. Granted, this guy was abusing the deep ball, and kept running the same plays.. But could be a bit of a concern. If it's a result of the fact that his receivers were just flat out better (maybe say 8+ overall better) then this is awesome.

Also would have liked to see him run the ball some more.. But oh well, sure there will be plenty more between now and August. I liked what I saw though. Much more of a believer than I was just reading about the game.

Draft Champions mode looks like it will actually be a ton of fun. I can see myself playing this mode a ton to mix things up.

The only problem with this is Kyle doesn't work on the game, he is a reviewer from GT (Game Trailers). He obviously isn't the biggest football fan as he had to keep asking the guys for advice on certain players

I think a lot of this video looked good...except for something that has been in Madden for a while, smooth, fluid animations. Like when the players are walking up to the line and take their positions. The transition from walking to getting into position is not fluid or smooth, it is almost snappy. It also seems like it is a little laggy, I mean the overall game. Look at it from about 9:58or so. It doesn't look smooth to me. And the transition in between cuts does not look smooth.

Edit: Still nameless jerseys on the sidelines, too.

I don't know...it is not a big deal, but it is something that has been in Madden for a while and has always bugged me. Other than that, it looks like a fun plop and play feature.

I am fine with some unrealistic moments, but Madden is loaded with junk like that. Guess when the physics and animation are so bad, there isnt much else that can be done.
Rex took control of the player and hit the "catch" button. If he didn't the ball was just going to fall incomplete. That's what being a user is, though. The same way we can throw to a receiver on our team even if the QB isn't looking at him. If you can't grasp that concept and be OK with it then you're just looking for something to complain about.

JP, I just watched this ign feature (super short) and thanks to the HD video, I was able to see the cleats for everyone on the field are still low texture versions during gameplay. As soon as you go into replay or post play cameras, the cleats are fine. It's one of those things you see in the game and can't un-see like Colbert's weird ear. This was a problem in Madden 15 as well. Do you have any idea if this was fixed on any of the builds you played?

This Draft Champions feature is way more interesting to me than MUT (and I bought the Madden Deluxe version with MUT packs last year because I really wanted to get into it, but ultimately just couldn't play it enough to make it worth it.) I'm interested to see if there is any sort of progression in Draft Champions? What do you get for winning in the mode, etc?

Also, wonder of there is any way to do local, or even online, multiplayer in Draft Champions...would be cool to draft your team with a friend, then face off against each other.

Either way, this looks like a neat new mode so far, and the game looks great. I go into every year saying "this is the year I'll skip Madden," and outside of making the console transition a couple years ago, I haven't missed a Madden since NFL 2K5.

Yeah I would like this if you can play local or online vs a friend if it's only vs randoms or cpu I probably won't use it.

Gameplay looks encouraging. Things still look a little stiff and robotic, but the outcomes do seem to be a little more organic and less scripted than in years past. I didn't like the pick all that much, but I can forgive a few wonky outcomes in a video game. No video game is going to be without a few head-scratching moments like that.

Overall, things look better.

I may be too picky and not noticing the smaller nuances that were added, but this looks EXACTLY like '15, with the exception of the cheesey button mashing options for playing as the WR/DB.And frankly, a couple of new animations and CCM getting nothing more than a cleaned up graphic interface on the menu pages, isn't worth another $60+ when I already hav '15 with updated rookies& FAs the community posted. For the life of me, I can't understand how EA consistently produces a game like FIFA with organic and constant movements that flow seamlessly, and can't figure out the same with Madden, a game that's real-time action is limited to a few seconds a play.

# 72 fballturkey @ 06/17/15 07:44 PM
I see some very substantial differences in the DB/WR interactions and some good ones in tackling as well. Maybe they just stand out because those things bugged me the most in 15 and before.

At around the 19 minute mark
"We did a lot of work on the AI QB..."
A few seconds later the AI QB takes a stupid sack just like from last year.

Nope

"I have to ask why your fanbase wanted penalties?!" "Is it cause of cheesing online?"

Do these clowns just think that people only play online in Madden?

But with that being said, when I see 21:10 play I was impressed. The catch AND the fact that the defender wanted a flag thrown.

# 75 smiley3 @ 06/18/15 12:29 AM
Does anyone know if you're overall can be a 95 or above, maybe by winning streaks you get more top rated players to choose from each round? Or is your team always in the 80's overall? If this has been answered sorry

dude, the people they get to do the interviews are ALWAYS clueless about football! lol. He also said, "so, did u have 12 guys gang tackle him?" 12 guys? no, we could've tried 11 since 11 are on defense. lol. "Why did they want penalties?" yeah, wow, it kills me sometimes. He's a gamer working for a gaming magazine/channel/whatever, so it's ok, he's just not a major football fan. Another one: he didn't want to pick Eli Manning, and he's a Giants fan? now, i'm not saying Eli's great or bad, but technically, he HAS won 2 superbowls for u. lol. so, it is what it is.

He did refuse to grab any Dallas players so props for that...

I've seen at least 2 different WR make the aggressive catch and appeared to be untouched and when they hit the ground the play is whistled dead. Needs to be fixed before release.
