Was discussing in the E3 thread, I think this is a very good video and a good start as far as seeing the game in action for the first time.

My thoughts from the other thread:

GAMEPLAY STARTS AROUND 9 MINUTE MARK

Spoiler

Under the impression that deep balls may be cheese 😕

The tackling looks way better.

Keep in mind this is on Pro difficulty with really high rated receivers.

Hopefully it's not that easy to complete long passes in normal conditions on a higher difficulty.

Shopmaster said today that he was afraid high point catches would be OP but based on his time with the game today that they weren't OP at all. I will say ratings really matter when it comes to this, as kaletore pointed out, this was a higher ranked WR against a 70 OVR.

So I am at E3, and I got to play Madden NFL 16 at length today, predominantly the Draft Champions mode. Proof that I am at E3 is on my Twitter account (@CM_Hooe), my tweets are location-tagged.

I went into the Draft Champions mode with tepid interest but left pretty impressed. Each pick forces the user to make interesting decisions with respect to personnel, and there's commentary by Adam Schefter about each pick. I found it quite engaging and think it's going to be a great pick-up-and-play mode.

I'll post different impressions of the game in other threads, but my thought specific to Draft Champions is that it could end up being a sleeper hit. It's a different and interesting new way to experience Madden.

I'm actually impressed. The gameplay looked very good, much better than I thought it was going to be. It was great to se WR/DB interaction on every play, and the gang tackling looked very good. I can't wait to try out the new catch mechanics as a WR, and new pass defense mechanics as a DB, but so far, it looks promising.

EA should be touting the tackling because it looked great.

I also really like that they went back to M25s style zoom cam. Zoom cam in M25 was awesome but last year in M15 it wouldn't zoom out enough during the play. Zoom cam looks great in this vid.

This looks nice. I enjoyed M15, and this is a step up. It's not everything I want but it looks fun.

Ok the presentation looks amazing. They step up their game. Really brings you into the action.

The gang tackling, catch animations and WR-DB interactions all looked really tight, very organic. I hope the one-handed animation (like Jordy Nelson at the start) isn't too overdone.

What stands out in a bad way is the QB animations, throwing animations still look really awkward.

Really like the contextual awareness of the Giants player when he sidesteped the ref between plays. Also, the players look a bit leaner, more athletic and less stocky. I can't wait to see how this looks after the sliders guys get their hands on it.

Wow, alot to digest in that video. New animations and additions to the game play are looking pretty damn good. I like what I see so far.

I believe it's the same Zoom cam as Madden 15 (which I loved & thought 15's zoom cam was perfect & definitely an improvement over 25 but to each's own 16's zoom cam looks even better with how it zooms in on catches & pans out when needed.

I could be remembering it wrong, but I could have sworn M25s zoom cam was just like the one in this vid (zoomed in pre snap, zoomed out to normal depth post snap on passes), but in M15 it wouldn't zoom out as far on passes and you couldn't always see the whole field.

Again, it has been awhile for me. I just remember that I loved M25s zoom cam and thought M15s wasn't quite the same.

Maybe I am remembering it wrong though.

EITHER WAY, regardless, the cam used in this vid seems awesome
