More tats on ODB. Really hard to get a read on the animations. Everything is in short cuts but the one with the jostling didn't look much different from M15, just a bit more extended and then it looked like it cut right as it was ending. The catch at the end looked really good in terms of being smooth and looking nice. I just hope that it never actually happens in game lol. Need to keep watching.
I liked the turn around by Manning before he got sacked. Looked really fast not bad. The rollout looked bad but the throw animation wasn't too bad I thought. Looked like the crowd had towels but unfortunately they were all swinging in sync. No new equipment and the jerseys look really dull and not vibrant.
And why is Larry Ridley announcing the game? That sounded eerily similar to the old bunker radio guy from M07.
The game still looks a little clunky, but it's an improvement.
One thing I've never been able to understand: EA's inability to have the ball flow naturally out of the QB's hand instead of immediately detaching itself. Has always looked terrible.
1. Same screen animations from last year on the scoreboards. Also, as a Giants fan, I've never seen those animations. Weren't those supposed to be 'real' images from stadiums?
2. Eli still doesn't have his all-gold captains patch.
3. Look at 0:45. The entire 0-line, and Eli, are wearing the same cleats. Uhh.
4. I just hope those catch animations have two outcomes, depending on how and when you hit the WR. They look pre-determined right now.
i have a frightening gut feeling that that 1 handed catch animation is gonna be seen every game like when they added the tyree helmet catch. *shudders*
EA has made catching a football more complicated than drafting in CFM.
Yeah not what i was expecting... saw part of the live video and there were words popping up above receivers heads like "aggressive" when they caught the ball. Sucks thats what they came up with, 3 approaches to catching the ball. Theyve had aggressive and posession catching before. I really thought it would be innovative and position-based to allow more control. Is this anything besides more animation-controlled gameplay? Id like to know.
i'd have much preferred the receivers ratings determining whether they go for aggresive catch, posession catch, etc. rather then just picking whatever you want. sounds really gimmicky
