MLB 15 The Show News Post

OSFM 2015 V.2 rosters are available now for MLB 15 The Show.

To download the roster, follow these simple directions:
  • Tab over to the Community tab
  • Go to Vaults
  • Roster Vault
  • Browse Rosters
  • Find the #OSFM2015 V2 roster, created by RIDINDWNKINGSL dated 05/24/15 Download it, save it, enjoy it.
First off I wanna thank everyone who contributed to this set. This version is a completely new base roster than V1. What that means is its based off one of the newest SCEA updates with all ht, wt and body type fixes. So this was another massive project requiring hundreds of hours and I think you will agree it shows. The updates, fixes, corrections and cosmetic changes from V1 to V2 are too massive to list. I hope you enjoy it.

It is another 25 man roster because I wanted to get it out tonight instead of delaying it a day.

Here are some highlights:
  • International Free Agents-FA1
  • 2015 Top 20 MLB draft Prospects in FA1
----------------------------------
  • hundreds of new players, equip edits and position changes
  • up to the minute transaction updates
  • features all SCEA created players from updates
  • SCEA ratings adjustments are in as well as OSFM formulas used in past rosters
This is not another opening day set rather based on current season or within last few days.

Hey sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. Did you ever find it? I uploaded it on the 27th I believe. If not I can upload it again tomorrow afternoon if you hadn't already found another roster.

First I want to thank Ridin and everyone else that put this roster out to use for the game. I am a newbie this year on mlb the show and was hoping someone might be able to tell me or point me to a link that has info on how to put the DL players like Verlander, Wieters on the 40 man and 25 man mlb roster to start my franchise without messing up anything like player progression, etc. It doesn't have to super exact accurate with everything, but I'm just trying to get guys that are hurt in real life onto their teams to start the year as I'm one of those that likes to have everyone available to their teams as if no injuries have happened and then let the game come up with injuries that happen. Thanks in advance

When I say don't have to super exact I mean I don't care if someone like Matt Albers from the White Sox is still hurt, just impact like Verlander, Wieters, etc that I mentioned above. Thanks guys

Edit it the roster before starting and add them to 40 man and remove the player with lowest ratings from the 40 man and then save the roster and use it to start your franchise.

Nothing against Williards roster as I use it last yr but made a few changes I dint agree with last yr, and it played very well and got great stats for all the sim games in franchise mode as well as my own stats with my team. I just figured since there a few things I don't care for, that I would just use V2 OSFM with pitch edits inputted in it, that's why I have been waiting for 55. Its looking like I will be backdating once 55 gets done, although I have been thinking if someone else backdates V2 and don't mess with anything other than backdating it, that I would use it and just add in pitch edits and possibly just add them in as I play my franchise. Heck I think I ould rather add in pitch edits that do backdating, as I know that's a real pain to do, as I have did it with NBA2k and there isn't anywhere near the moves in the NBA like all of baseball is,lol.

Just not worth it and I need to spend what time I have to play actually playing.

That's understandable, as I took a look at it too, and thought wow that's a lot of backdating to do. Im just to OCD though and like to make the mvoes as they happened IRL in my franchise, I wish I wasn't this way, as I have tried it before and just lose interest if roster aren't exact, as I even need the MILB rosters and lineups to be as close as accurate as possible, cant be perfect because of roster # limits in the game, but you can get them fairly close, especially AAA.

before ST will the CPU add to the 40 man rosters or does it have to be done manually for all the teams?

It's actually there, dated the 28th. I thought it wasn't the new one because some of the ratings for players updated on the 25th update were the same as the vol. 2 roster. It's no big deal, and I used it for my franchise. Thanks again.

My only issue with this is that you have to manually move people from the minor leagues who are injured. For example, wainwright is in AA and upon starting a franchise the Cardinals don't promote him the entire year even though he isn't injured.

He has a batting stance similar to Ramon Flores.

Do these rosters contain pitch edits and player attribute edits? I have noticed a couple posters mentioning ridin's pitch edits, but I was hoping there was another option out there.

When looking at your username, you have many rosters. What's the difference between this set and the 'weekly #1'?

Get the weekly #1. It was uploaded yesterday and has up to date transactions and lots of changes. He did an EXCELLENT job on it.

No and no, OSFM sticks with SCEA ratings. The hybrid and revision rosters change ratings and pitches and 55 is working on an OSFM with pitch edits.

Also, the audio for Micah Johnson is set to Michael. Easy fix for anyone.

Question...How can I use the updated rosters in my current franchise? I'm in the early part of June and don't want to start over.

So are the "#OSFM weekly #1" rosters just an update of V2? Just wanted to double check because it looks like Ridin has also did the 40 man rosters.
