Fan caught that home run ball then held it up for everyone to see. That was sick!

Yes, or you can turn GM contracts off to stay as that team throughout the length of the franchise.

What I am saying is that when a player is drafted they are not eligible for minor league free agency until six years later. They do not sign one-year deals every off-season. Once they are eligible for Minor League free agency (after those first six years) they start singing one-year deals.

The six year minor league contract is not guaranteed money. It just secures the rights to the player for the 6 years until they can become FA. The contracts are pretty standard and have a monthy salary. They are renewed or not each year. In essence they are one year deals. Its a contract that protects the club not the player. If after one year they don't want the player they release him and owe nothing more.

I would love it if you uploaded it in parts. I am dying to go back and write down the rest of the Yankees player ratings that I could not catch. They went really fast through the roster menus. Haha.

Ok. I've never heard of a guy not being renewed and I have never heard of contracts being like that and I work in Pro ball. Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, just saying.

Q. How long are Minor League players required to remain with the team that drafted them before they are eligible to negotiate with another team?

A. According to Major League Rule 3(b), "All Minor League Uniform Player Contracts between either a Major or a Minor League Club and a player who has not previously signed a contract with a Major or a Minor League Club shall be for a term of seven Minor League playing seasons."

Q. How and when do Minor League players acquire free agent status?

A. According to Major League Rule 55, "At 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 15 or on the fifth day following the last day of the World Series, whichever is later, of the last year of a player's Minor League Uniform Player Contract, the player's Minor League Uniform Player Contract shall expire and the player shall become a 'Minor League free agent' unless the player's Major or Minor League club has remaining options to renew the contract.

The players being signed aren't minor league free agents, they are still under club control and can't decline a contract on their own. However, the club can terminate a contract at any time. For example, the Mariners chose to release Luis Jimenez, despite him having 3 more years of club control and only being 21 years old.

I haven't been able to watch much of this as I'm busy at work, but I just got a glance of the night sky and buildings in Baltimore and DAYYUUM that looks good! Much better than what we saw of PNC last week.

The term year to year is a little deceptive because that's not really what it is as that would mean both parties have a choice each year but as has been mentioned, the team can release a player after any year.

The player doesn't have a say after being drafted.

Trade finder rocks.

Radio Show sounded great and has ton's of potential. Franchise is going to feel so much more alive now and I already know I will be far more immersed!!

The new pitch trajectories and spins....are night and day from previous versions of the game.

I saw a lot to like during this stream. The game is going to be amazing as always.
