I will say that although '15 looks visually uninspiring compared to '14, a lot of these little details are building some intrigue...
I agree that this game looks worse than it did last year visually but I'm just think that's because it's early their still working on it. I just hope they do something with Franchise Mode and improve free agency and trades

I'd assume it means hitting in a desired direction, but we already have swing influence, thus leaving me a bit confused...
Maxbe a dumb question: What do you mean with swing influence?

This is what I posted earlier regarding directional hitting: Think of it as using the left stick to decide where you want to try and hit the ball. Down to try and hit on the ground, up for fly balls, and left and right for pull and go the other way. At least this is what it was in other games.

How would that work for those that use zone hitting?

Sounds to me like it would be an alternate option.

Yeah I'm not really getting it either... I'm not really seeing the point when timing is, and always was, the factor in determining where you hit the ball. I mean, its not like you can't already pull an outside pitch or take an inside out swing. The results might not often be pretty but the same applies to real baseball too.

All I remember from MVP baseball's hitting mechanic was holding down and away with Ichiro and getting hits 75 percent of the time lol

I'm personally hoping for it to be related to spray tendencies but I have my doubts.

I would think it would not apply to zone.

Agreed. A properly functioning hitting system should already provide directional hitting because you can just wait on pitches or whatever. And to a limited extent I was already able to do that with Zone hitting.

I probably won't try it then. More options are always welcome though. I know there's a lot of guys here that are not interested in Zone hitting but want something less random than Timing. This seems like it'd be the perfect middle ground for them.

But me? #Zone4lyfe

Ps4 could have done much better graphic wise on the game also. Many of my friend were very disappointed in the online play as we play leagues, it became so terrible most of my friends stopped playing and even some sold their Ps4’s and went back to their Xbox lives. I was embarrassed how bad online was because I convinced over 20 of my friends to either buy Ps4 or sell their Xbox ones so they could play a baseball game. I was hiding out when they started playing because online honestly people SUCKED and it sucked badly. And San Diego studios really did not do anything to satisfy the gamers who truly support this game, if I had a complaint and posted it they would take it off ASAP. This is the year of make or break for the Show if they do not fix the online problems and get this right, this will be the end of many gamers who love baseball to trust them again, Mlb the show 14 was a half-finished product because online play was a horror and people who have played it know, it was a disaster and downright embarrassing. If San Diego studios drop the online ball again someone will compete against them in the future and grab a core of baseball fans over. I supported this game since mlb 09 and online some years were bad and some were decent even mlb 13 was above average at east not saying it was even good but my friends and I had some great times with Show 13 and we were excited on the new Ps4 Mlb and to make it even come out a month later and to release it with so many issues was a slap in the face to all of us. Online must be GOOD not above average I am not even saying it has to be great but good will do. Last year it was below average and a down right shame that we had to play a game so online terrible it ruined ALL my friends experiences plus lost people back to Xbox one. The best thing they were bragging on how good the show 14 would be and said the Ps4 version will be the best yet online and offline. It was a total bust, since they are the only game in town I will be forced to spend another 60 this year when I honestly feel I was ripped off by last year’s release I ask San Diego Studios PLEASE MAKE ONLINE BETTER THAN LAST YEAR

Thst game has the best offline gameplay of any sports game going, and is always challenging.
You constantly make good points.

But in an aggressive and ridiculing manner. It's unfortunate.

The thing that has me intrigued is enhanced player personality. I've wanted the Show to implement player personality in regards to players in franchise mode, so it would differentiate everyone.

From the sounds of the podcast though.....it seems as just a cosmetic feature right now......animations in the game of reactions.....
Ramone did seem to hint that it may evolve into something that would impact franchise play in other ways.

Anything at all on the AI trade logic? I'd really like to not have to control all 30 teams.

Dont have to control all 30 with 30 team control review trades and accept or decline pretty simple process

It'd be awesome if they implemented a feature like NBA 2K15 did for MyLeague, where you can control your one team & a notification comes up about a trade & you can accept or decline on the fly

Wait, what? Is this something we can do in MLB 14 or are you saying this should be a new feature?
