Madden NFL 15 News Post

The Madden NFL 15 player likeness update, which was available for a short time (then pulled) on November 4th, is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. The file size is 510 MB and includes player likeness updates for roughly 160 players.

Unlike the first time it was available, these player likeness updates are available in all modes, including MUT, offline and online CFM.

For PlayStation 4 users, try this:

PS Store>New>New Add-Ons>New Add-Ons See More>

For Xbox One users, try this:

Store>Search>Madden NFL 15> It should be the second result.

It might not work for everyone ATM, but it should slowly become available for the masses very soon. Eventually, this update will arrive by simply starting up the game.

UPDATE: Here is a list of all the players that were updated.

Let us know what you are seeing and post some screenshots. For those of you that missed out the first time, there are quite a few here.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm pretty sure the guys with missing dreads won't get them back.
DeAngelo kept his face scan and eventually got his dreads back, so it can be done.

Jerod Mayo got a face scan and got his dreads added. Larry Firtzgerald got a new face and still has his dreads.

Not sure why this wasn't in a patch then they could make it available in every game mode

DeAngelo Williams didn't have dreads when EA scanned him back in his rookie year. Both Jarius Wright and Kelvin Benjamin had dreads when EA scanned their faces into the game. Considering how advanced EA's face scanning and art technology is right now, it shouldn't be hard at all to give Jarius Wright short dreads and Kelvin Benjamin long dreads. I don't understand why EA doesn't scan the dreads into the game with the face, instead of the face alone. For example, Larry Fitzgerald's dreads are different from those of Rashean Mathis and Steven Jackson. 2k does it for Nba 2k so there is no reason why EA can't do it now especially with the advanced technology they are using. I also don't understand why EA doesn't scan players facial expressions and signature moves to go along with their face in the game just so that when EA adds signature animations to the game, they will already have the signature moves of these players ready to go.

Also, I don't understand how EA couldn't just add dreads to DeAngelo back then considering how all of the long dreads styles look EXACTLY the same and they aren't signature.

Over the summer, EA had gone around to several different teams' facilities and scanned most of the players on each teams faces into the game. Apparently it takes a while to create the face with the scan, so EA only did the well-known players for this update. By Madden 16, all of those players they scanned should have an in game scan

does the player likeness update apply to rosters such as FBG rated roster in CFM mode or only default and play now?

Hair is always added after face scan, note the article NBA Live or NBA 2K did on this.

WOW! A lot of these players are now starting to look like how they should on current gen systems with this update. It does make the game a little more fun to play when you can actually recognize your favorite player. I noticed that Le'Veon Bell looks spot on. Pretty good EA!

Could Kelvin's hair be re - added through a roster update with this face scan?

I have to say, the beards look so terrible that I want to delete the update. I mean, they're horrid aesthetically and totally distract from what's good graphically about the game. If they can't get it 100% right and natural-looking, just wait.
