Disappointing

They have definitely increased long range shooting tendencies for the CPU, as I stated in the post above, in which I replied to the wrong post (my bad fearwhatnow).

For me the biggest issue is in Career Mode with youth academy players physical stats not growing. You could find a great striker, but he will be super slow so you can't do anything with him. Very frustrating! I think that needs to be patched and fixed.

I've got a video processing that shows a few of the new improvements. YouTube is slow as molasses right now. I'm sorry, but this game is vastly improved.

Bummer they didn't fix screen adjustment all this time still. I'm tired of tinkering this back and forth w/ a few other games.

Is there some reason NYCFC and Orlando City weren't simply placed in 'Rest of World'?

I'll assume the answer is FUT is a revenue generator.

The same issues linger from year after year after year. Is FIFA15 fun, sure, it you are willing to suspend reality for an hour or 2.

And for the record, I've posted many YT vids showcasing the things FIFA15 does well (as well as the "crap" it does bad).....yet I never see one thing from you (or similar posters) that backups the game being great. Show me. Post a vid of the CPU passing back to their keeper. Post a vid of the CPU building up play carefully through midfield. Post a vid of your CPU teammates actually defending like a proper defender.

In fact, here is a great example of my keeper Lloris losing his mind (post latest patch) against arsenal with a 4-3 lead in the 95'. Explain what is good about this vid? Tell me? I should have ejected the disc and snapped it in half.

Are you on PC? I don't see those kind of things. Did you manually try to save it? I play on Pro Cam, and have never, ever seen a hack job like that. Even before the patch. I get what you are trying to get at. But I think the one poster's comments are incredibly relevant. You might actually like the game before playing it. All you do is bag on the game. Now I have both Fifa and PES on PC. Each has it's strengths, it's "style." It sounds like you want Fifa to be PES, and it's not. Post patch, this is still a forward playing game. Not a sideways one. But, when my video finally gets done, I make the CPU pass the ball. And, to be honest, it looks like what I see every Saturday on NBCSN. Far more than PES. But, that said, I actually like how PES plays, too. I used to play the crud out of a game called NASCAR Racing 2003 by Papyrus. It was "sim." But I'm not going to pretend it was realistic. I had tons of options to feel I was controlling things, but it was in no way, shape or form, anything remotely like driving a real car, much less a stock car. On topic, Fifa will always be fast paced, but so are real live human beings. For everyone that says that PES is the proper pacing and spacing, others will say it's laggy and plodding. It's all taste, and suspension of reality. And my personal ratio of NBA2k v. Fifa is about 75 percent Fifa. But that's because the polish still isn't there for me with NBA2k. Clipping, etc. Probably mostly a PC issue. Seriously, it's not a big deal. As long as I am entertained, and I consider myself pretty picky, it's cool. Hope you can get to that point with this game. Your example aside, this game is the best a Fifa has ever been. Maybe it's just not your cup o tea. (yes, pithy, shameless pun.) Peace.

This is just random gameplay off screen with my Nikon in 1080p. No commentary, nothing special. This is not the game I played yesterday, or ever. I can see many things that are changed. I'm going to see if I can decent Fraps footage. I might buy Action, I heard it's far easier on system resources. Here you go:

And in something totally unrelated, Bayern lost to City! Wow!

Then sent it to EA

As far as I know, this year is the first time EA has actually addressed gameplay in FIFA patches (as opposed to the yearly placebo fixes). Consider me surprised and pleased. Firing it up now!

About to show how purty this game is post patch. And Ariel has already figured out to get the Moddingway mod back online? Tomorrow is my Fifa holiday. Thou shalt not dog my game! LOL!

More Me vs. Bayern Munich, which happens to mean Bowel Movement in German! (I kid, I kid)

Action has a fully functional 30 day trial. I love it. Spent too much money on FRaPS for it to be too hard on my P.C. Yes.

First Action footage:

Does the patch apply to a current manager mode, or will you need to start a new one in order for the patch to be effective?

Spoiler
I hear you, I really do. I actually laughed out loud at the video you posted because that sucks and would absolutely make me want to break the controller. I've never had anything like that happen, but it is valid criticism. It is just really frustrating to open up some thread about FIFA only to have Hutton immediately crap all over it.

Let's take today as an example.
- patch notes mention gameplay improvements (check)
- users post before you that they are experiencing improvements (check)
- Hutton comes in and says "this patch sucks" (or something like that) (check)

You acknowledged that you only played 1 game or so when you originally posted your comments on the new patch. There is evidence that gameplay has been addressed and without really having tested it, you come in and crap on it. It just isn't necessary and I see it a lot from you.

We get it. You'd like the game to play differently with no glitches or bugs. Please play NHL 15 on the PS4 or XB1 for more than 5 minutes to see what a real half-assed game is like. That game is barely functional. At least 95% of FIFA works. It doesn't work the way you like it but it does work and play a relatively smooth game of football. There are definitely other threads to voice your dislike of the game, I don't think it needs to be done in every single one that pops up on OS.

It works with current CM.

Still no fix for the five-minue added time and handball bugs. Those should have been no-brainers...

My first match I had a 2 minute at halftime. Did end up with a 5 minute at the end, though.

Excuse me, but where can I get this ini file? And your sliders?

Weird that it's all positive comments on this board about the new patch but go to the EA forum and they are saying the lobbed through balls are worse, team doesn't hold their shape and that it's generally more arcadey. I haven't tried it yet as I gave up on fifa after a week lol

Last night I had two +3:00 and a +4:00. Not perfect, but it wasn't +5:00 every time. I play 10 min halves of that means anything.

I got several games in last night and the difference is astonishing in my opinion. The 3 biggest improvements are plain to see:

1) The CPU passes a lot more. They pass backwards, they leave little dinks for teammates running behind them, and they were even making first touch passes against me on several occasions. It still doesn't feel quite as realistic as the CPU's passing on PES, but nonetheless a massive improvement which helps the game immensely.

2) The defense is more organized. Guys stay in their areas, and CPU teammates and opponents are far peskier around the ball. In my experiences pre-patch (world class), the more aggressive team would usually average around 15 shots a game, sometimes 20 or more if they were really playing well. Now in 4 games the highest shot total I've seen from either side has been 10. That's awesome.

3) The CPU takes a lot more unpredictable attempts on goal. I've seen guys hit curlers from 20 yds, hit volleys on goal off of keeper punch outs or deflections, and plenty of other times they've just had a go when they were open, in situations I haven't seen them shoot before.

I'm still soaking it all in, and trying to decide once and for all if I'm a Normal or Slow speed kind of guy, but I'm truly shocked by how much more I've enjoyed the game in the past day. Nice work EA!
