Just me are suffering with fouls? :/ Every time i come closer to the opponent, i hear the whistle...
Meanwhile, CPU appears being immune to fouls, even in late slide tackles (which are really common after the patch). And still win every single fight for possession.

This is just a random Play Now with defaults. No goals, but a nice example of the new back and forth with the CPU, even on Pro Level. Sorry about the freezes, still getting Action sorted out. That said, I really feel this is about "PES-like" as I've ever seen a Fifa title look. Until the underlying A.I. is less offensive and aggressive and team personalities actually become a focus of the designers, this is the about as good as we're going to get. And I think this is pretty darn good. Great job, EA. Shake them haters off!

I've played a good sample of games now post-patch (PS4), and the most prominent change to me is the game feels like it has, to a large degree, been taken off the rails.

I'm not saying all of the classic game-shaping/scaling stuff is gone, but overall gameplay feels like it is less rigidly contextually prescribed, and I don't feel as if I am experiencing those moments of utter helplessness.

For instance, now there are moments where the cpu has an advantage with ball movement and pressure, but the difference feels like I, as the user, have a far greater influence on the outcome if I work to maintain my defensive shape, or make a smart clearance. Overall I seem to be punished for my mistakes and unwise plays at the wrong time, and not just forced into mistakes through suspect ball behavior or inferior players suddenly playing like Ballon d'Or winners.

I also think I might be experience a sense of the inherent disparity between top tier clubs and lesser clubs during gameplay for the first time in the series for a while.

It needs some new slider tweaks, but I am pleased with the gameplay alterations in this update.

Hmmm this looks interesting. Wonder if they fixed the bug that gets us fired right after changing club in Career Mode.

Man U. Which is kind of what I'm loving. I made a couple of bonehead defensive plays by getting too far forward, but was able to recover.( that was my tactics, I was playing balanced, when I normally play defensive) What I loved is that the CPU felt more "human." There is just this new feeling of being "organic" that I've never experienced with Fifa before. I really, really like it.

Different groups of players. I would suspect that those on the EA forums are playing at a lower level of difficulty in general. So game play may be different for them. Or maybe it is more difficult so they are complaining.

Lots of different people playing the game, some love to win every game 20 to 0. Can't please everyone.

Yeah, I think those are primarily online—FUT, Seasons, H2H, whatever modes there are these days—with most mechanics assisted or semi-assisted.

No doubt it is the more arcadey game compared to PES, but it's nowhere near what they are describing on slow and full manual.

Ya like the 8 year olds love to win 20-0. And like most of us, we like a challenge. Harder the game the better the game

Lingering, unaddressed issues:
-no cpu buildup play, accrington Stanley plays just like bar a
-no handballs
-crappy tactics, team sheets are a good 1st step but only 25% of what they should be
-winter gear is broken
-not enough fouls
-5' of stoppage time way too often
-missing Newcastle 3rd kits
-frenetic cpu attacking, like they snorted a line of coke in the tunnel pre match
-wonky physics, players bumping into each other off the ball and flying in the air like superman
-goal kicks & punts don't travel far enough at 100%
-blind cpu bicycle clearances 40 meters downfield directly to a lone teammate to start the counter attack (far better that prior fifa's but still happens far to often)
-human teammate defenders stand around and ball watch
-cpu NEVER back passes to keeper

Ignore them if you wish, but these issues are real.

I really want to love Fifa, and maybe I'll really give it another try with default sliders, because I want this to be a great game.
Seriously you have 3 options/alternatives:
1. Get a pc and FIFA 15 pc version.
2. Get PES 15.
3. Stop playing FIFA 15.

EA fixed most of the defensive problems of the game and that was a real surprise. This happens once in a decade, so don't expect them to fix anything else.

# 73 xicpanad @ 11/26/14 06:54 PM
Those issues might be true but most of them shouldn´t even be mentioned as if they were gamebreakers.
Plus, CPU passes to keeper, but very rarely. Still, its more then NEVER.
Teams play like Barça... if you play PES, you´ll realise the main diference is that teams play more patiently, but when they need they also pass around like Barça.
About handballs and 5 mins stopage time, come on leave it already! People are making these two like huge things. Well they´re not. There´s stuff way more important to pach.
And don´t play PES if you really bother with 3rd kits and lack of fouls. If Fifa makes you angry, PES will kill you on that department.

Sorry, that's the attitude that gets us a mediocre FIFA year after year. Stuff like the handballs and extra time issues may be minor, but they should also be a pretty easy fix for a mega corporation like EA. Next time how about demanding a little more for your $60?

People still throwing out the PC excuse. Look sorry but I dont have 1000 dollars to spend on a computer. And the lack of licenses of pes turns me off. Stop playing fifa? I guess having a high standard for 60 dollar game is too much too ask

I've played 4 matches post-patch...and have a total of 4 goals. The CPU is definitely playing smarter defensively. If you make a silly mistake, they will make you pay for it. Love this game and I'm enjoying it even more, now.
