What worked? The halftime show? I actually didnt even see it in the demo, but I'm assuming that first day patch affected the demo as well?? Lemme know, cuz I'm confused.

You're like the fat girl in a size 2 dress getting ready to go to the club. You look in the mirror and think you're hot. News flash, your opinion of your own game matters none. Its what WE, the people giving you 60.00 every year think about your game. So whats the deal with your halftime show gone after the update??????
It's a bug; I don't think they did it intentionally. In any case, I've only played one game post-patch (12-minute quarters), and the halftime and post game shows were both there for me. I'm on XB1, so I don't know if it's a PS4 only issue or just intermittent.

Go watch my archived 48 minute game cavs at knicks. All highlights worked prior to the in game update. It'll be fixed.

Highlights at the end of each quarter, half time and end of game.

Pros:

-Player models look great, significantly more realistic than those in 2k

-The weight and pace of the game feels good to me, it seems like gravity is more a factor and I wasn't seeing lots of sliding.

-I love the dribbling in Live, and always have. It feels faster and more responsive, even though I'm not a fan of the Broadcast camera. It's great that they brought back the sizeup, and I liked the signature dribbles as well, although I only had a small sample size.

Cons:

-The collision animations are still clunky and stiff when driving the lane. Nowhere near the smooth feeling of 2k when you drive to the rim and take some contact. I was expecting good things since the collisions in FIFA are so good, but Live isn't there yet. I saw the same animations repeatedly, which gets old after a few games.

-The passing is a bit stiff too, they need more animations, and although I found the contextual passing to be adequate, it would be nice to have more control over the types of passes made.

-Sometimes I felt like my ball handler wasn't facing up with the basket while performing dribble moves, which looked and felt a bit awkward to me.

-Too many shots going in, period. Kyrie Irving was 13-15 against me, and the bulk of those were fairly well contested shots. A few of them were WTF moments.

-Pick and Rolls weren't too great, or maybe I just don't understand the system yet. Apparently the action of the screen setter is contextual, and I never really felt sure of what he was going to do until the icon would change suddenly. Jury's still out on this one.

-I'm not sold on the player tendencies based on the demo. LeBron was unbelievably passive in all 3 games. Guarding him never felt difficult, or any different than guarding anyone else.

Overall, I really had fun, but until I try the full version with the patch, I can't really commit to this game. I've heard people say the patch is a huge difference, but I'm skeptical about how much they could possibly clean up, in the animations department especially. Anyone have any links to some gameplay post-patch?

Thanks guys
The pick and roll controls are based on how you use the pick. Obviously, you know that holding LT/L2 brings the screener over to set the screen, and he won't move until you let go. To have him slip, just let go of the trigger as soon as you want him to go. To have him roll, start to go around the pick, and let go as he is making contact with the defender. To have him pop, keep holding the trigger until after the defender is around the screen.

How do you make him pop inside the 3pt line though?

As for the replays, Ty said he's on top of it....

WTF seems like something they'd have to patch rather than put out a tuner for right?

The court looked great. LeBron, Love and Kyrie destroyed me.

The Cav's jumped out to a 10-4 lead and then kept increasing the lead.

I was down by 18 at Half. Midway through the 3rd when it got to be a 22 pt cav's lead I switched sides. Holy smokes, no wonder, the Cav's are amazing to use.

So far playing the Early Access and then the full game the main thing I am impressed with is bad teams are bad and good teams are really good. The ratings really matter and if this is synergy's doing then ALL HAIL SYNERGY. This is the first EA game that I have played (and I have played a ton of them) where team ratings matter. So I am sitting here thinking who I can use to beat the Cav's and jeez who to beat the Spurs with?

Every other EA game I choose a lower rated team just so I don't destroy the CPU.

In my experience with NBA live 15, you choose a weak team and you are going to struggle against better teams.

The patch has smoothed things out. I have only played 2 games post patch so I am still noticing/investigating the changes.
You can try using the Mavs who people seem to be underestimating again this year.

Yeah I watched them last night. Great game. Solid team in all aspects. Thanks for the suggestion.

I played the demo and just couldn't get into it, but not really because the gameplay was bad, but the camera angle that it was playing at, made me feel as though I was watching what was happening instead of controlling it.

what camera angles are available for gameplay?

Really hoping someone on my friends list will let me try the share/play option on the PS4

You have a ESPN Broadcast, EA Broadcast, EA Action cam and a bunch of baseline (north-south) options in the demo.

Do you need to wait for it to finish installing the demo before you get those options?

No idea. I just paused the game, moved over to settings... Visual and then fooled around with the different cameras.

I am only asking because mine was still installing and when I went to the cameras it was locked and wouldn't let me change it.

Thanks.

So ive only played 1 game but assiming 3pt shooting is a issue for everyone right?

Love the amount they shoot but 50% is a little high. Played Nets cpu vs knicks me.

Would love if we could up the midrange game and decrease the 3pt tendency.

I agree with pretty much this entire post except for the part that's in bold. In the game I played there was a lot of suction and sliding, especially in the 2nd half. The defense (CPU) would suck/slide into place. I also didn't like the transition animations out of this suction. There were a lot of sliding/momentum when passing the ball. I wasn't that impressed with contact in the paint either. Needs a lot of work.

Overall I didn't like the animations or the feel of the game at all. A lot of it still looks and feels ps2'ish. Especially the speed dribble, the rebounding, and the passing.

The graphics are improved over Live 14, however I don't like the jersey's and the texture of the players skin. A lot of players look washed out (Ashy). The post game is also an eye sore and doesn't feel good. And for the people that say this game is "so responsive". It's really not. There were a couple of times I hit the dribble stick and nothing happened.

Overall the game plays a lot like Live 10 with all the suction and funky looking animations. It's just now, the player models have face and shoe scans, so the graphics are better. Live has a lot of work to do.

I bought this at lunch yesterday, then ended up at the Pelicans home opener after work. I decided to DL and play he demo before opening the new copy. I was sold because of a few things, so I'll be unwrapping it today after work.

First, the atmosphere is great. Coming home from NBA opening night, it was fun to relive a realistic nba experience. Second, you can't easily cheese the baseline like in 2K 15. I'm sure there are plenty of cheeseable plays, but I'm over the super powered drivers of 2k. Third, the players are stuck in mud on defense like on 2k. I shouldn't be able to cut in real life faster than Russell Westbrook does on 2k. But, lastly, it's a fresh experience for me. I haven't touched EA basketball game in about decade (actually probably longer).

Can't wait to play some franchise with the Brow.

Jerseys need to be tighter around the torso. It's like everyone is wearing an XL.

If the post product support for this game is anything like the UFC game, I'm definitely not worried.

Are you serious with this one?

Anyways, I love Live15. Games are super exciting to play and I keep wanting to get one more game in. It's amazing what good audio does for games and even movies.

a few gripes after playing a bit. i cant get a camera angle close enought to where i want, would really like to edit the camera. the baseline low cam got some bad swivel. another thing i dont like is it seems like every shot i take is contested even if they are slacking off on me. also even though the sounds are phenomenal the ball sounds like hitting a beach ball and it bounces off of the rim like a beach ball, not much variation or rim interaction between the ball and rim. overall i give the give the game a 7/10. i really like the game but still some things need to be worked out
