No editing players. It seems from watching the livestream that EA's team will be doing a lot of the edits for the players. Rosters menu gives you full stats on the players as far as ratings, tendencies etc.

Played my 3rd game.. Getting the use to the controls.. Fast breaks are really fun. I want to see how the game plays once Synergy kicks in. Overall, it's a cool game fundamentally. They have a good foundation with this game. Atmosphere is crazy, arenas look really nice. Models and sneakers are good. It's crazy that they'll be improving models, shoes etc throughout the season. I just feel like it's a bit bare gameplay wise. It's probably going to be really fun USER vs USER but it seems too easy against the CPU right now. Scoring at will, and blocking shots/layups with high success.

Dunks are kinda frequent. The lanes are there sometimes so it's not like it's all in traffic . You'd expect them to put it on the glass or layup but it's usually a dunk. Sometimes after coming off the screen or cutting, you have a wide open lane to a layup or dunk and you end up shooting a jumper instead. The paint physics are really cool, but there's ton of contact that doesn't get called. Haven't tried turning the foul call frequency up yet. I got a crazy and one call on a jumper and the cheers made it hype lol. Gonna try a few more games later and try out different atmospheres

Foul sliders work. I shot 27 fts with Harden one game

How many difficulty settings are there? And are there any kind of sliders whatsoever ?

The gameplay was fun and responsive. The player model look great and the animations on contact are awesome. The controls will take a while to get use to and I am a 2M camera view guy so using that ESPN camera (The games wasn't fully downloaded yet so I couldn't change the camera view) takes getting use to as well although it is a nice touch. You actually get fouled on contact and go to the line which I like. I will spend more time with it tomorrow and hopefully be able to make a decision on purchasing the full game or not. Either way, next year will be the best year for sports games we will have since the late 90's...

No online leagues or associations at all. Doesn't matter however because online is ridiculous. I won my first game 49-46 but all you have to do after a miss shot is hit pass like twice on the fast break and it is a dunk every single time. Also, the timing on shooting is atrocious. If you release at the top of your jump like offline it will always read LATE and never go in. You seriously must barely tap the shoot button to even have a shot at having a great release. The fast break spam ruined the experience for me however because on every single miss I had, once my opponent figured out to just pass up the court fast and dunk..... That's all he did.

Only have played a little so far, but I could instantly feel the differences and changes from 14 lol.

Graphics and some animations are much smoother. Controls feel responsive. Felt good not having to fight the controller like last year.

This is feeling more like the old LIVE I was expecting from 14. It has it's own graphics and feel to it, with the arcade fun.

Going to play some more later. Still have a lot more to do and find out before deciding if i want a Day 1 purchase.

I'm seeing a lot of good reviews and ppl who suck at the game of bball complain in general

I just played a full game of Cavs vs. Thunder and here are a few takeaways

Pros: atmosphere was cool, close up graphics are vastly improved over 14, gameplay is better than 14, fast breaks actually work, everything appears more polished than 14, KD looks better in this game when they zoom in

Cons: gameplay is severely behind where we are in 2014, game is not smooth at all, KD's drives seemed to go in some weird canned animation that took him right to the hoop and when it didn't go to a canned animation it was very slow and robotic, back of jerseys look way off around the neckline, commentary seemed off and broken, graphics during gameplay only look slightly better than 14

I will give it a little more time, but this game seems like it should've been NBA Live 11 on 360/PS3, not NBA Live 15 on Xbox One/PS4. I can see Live fans who want to experience something other than 2K gravitating towards this game and finding things to be happy about, but if you've grown use to the other game and the way it is presented, this one may not be your cup of tea.

The atmosphere and the sound make you feel like your really at a nba game.

Spacing is top notch.

Physics is beautiful.

Animations is way better but it needs a lot more.

Scoring is to easy at this point.

Player models and gear is on point.

Omg the espn camera is the best in a b-ball game period.

Player movement still look kinda weird.

Overall this is a good game that still need work in some areas. Im highly impressed at what live has become and 16 and 17 should be great for the series. Good job EA! #LIVEISBACK

I downloaded and played the initial game Cavs. vs. OKC, definite step up from last yr, but still seeing some very Live-ish wonky animations, good crowd atmosphere, Kevin Love looks like a 70s Porn Star...lol. I like the simplicity of the controls. Live fans should be pleased the game is moving in a better direction than Live 14.

Have you played it? This is an impressions thread. It's simply not good. To me, it's a more polished Live 14 which I feel was simply horrible. I wanted this to be good. I grew up with Live and would love to go back to some of my Live loving years.
The players are sluggish. The CPU in the 12 minute per quarter game I played RARELY ran any plays. Simply would have 3 out, 2 in, or 4 out and 1 in and would literally stand there like morons. This was on all star difficulty as well. Shot tendencies are waaaay off as in my game vs the Raptors they pounced it inside all game and Derozan finished 3-5 from the field playing 42 minutes. Speaking of which, I had my subs to auto and all my starters played 42 plus minutes including all 24 in the second half.... Finally, the Raptors finished with 78 of their 96 points in the paint and had 26 offensive rebounds (keep in mind, no sliders to help these areas)
I am so disappointed and am just glad I played this through Access and didn't give $60 for it.

Spot on. It's like a game that should have come out in 2011 on current gen and built its way up from there.

It's screams Arcade. I had 5 blocks in my first all-star level game with my point guard, Goran Dragic. It is VERY easy to score and block any shot. It's way smoother than 2k but that is all I have from my 1 game.

I'm playing the cavs vs thunder intro game....

My take...first things first...Where was this live 3 yrs ago??????!!!

Atmosphere and courts are A+
I like this default camera angle
Faces are really spot on or a big miss
Body types hit and miss
The controls are fluid ...kudos

Presentation flows better this yr....halftime is ok but jalen just says they or he when referring to a team or player..which kills the immersion.

Contact animations in the paint are hit and miss...I performed a layup with durant on varajao and instead of a contact animation initiating durant basically pushed him out the way while varajao was still in the animation of standing there...so he basically slid across the paint lol ...now when it does kick in its nice !!!

Animations as a whole are whats killing me ..its like they're jerkin and look unnatural at times you can definitely tell where one animation ends and one begins the players clip in and out of em they need to be smoother....

I hate my players just stand there while I have the ball..please make motion auto in 16

Shots need to be fixed ...it seems all quick releases are Great

Fastbreaks still feel slow...not like 14 but the sense of speed differential between players is lacking

Post moves and paint defense???????

I love how you can body your man on D by just following his movements and initiating contact without pressing and holding LT(shout out to WTF for that headsup)

One thing I did like I shot a 3 with westbrook, kyrie contested but as his hand went down it touched westbrook's elbow and a foul was called.

Would I pay full price for this no....would i consider a black friday purchase yup....is it better than the other game hell no...but it has potential and a very strong upside if they continue to tweak it and adjust it....it might be a little too run n gun /arcadish for me(too much running up and down the court dunking) But I had a decent experience with it ..decent stuff EA this I will say THIS is what live14 shouldve been

Ps..... man yall got kyrie looking like he has a black helmet on his head for hair and those oversized warmups/snuggies the players are wearing are attrocious jeez

Its better but its still not there yet. Animations are still an issue. The atmosphere and control are great and arguably the best of any basketball game out. Not enough movement by the CPU or CPU teammates.
