NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions

NBA Live 15 is available now for EA Access subscribers, giving you six hours of total gameplay. Play a quick game and post your impressions.

PlayStation 4 users will get a demo on the 28th and non-EA Access subscribers on the Xbox One will be able to grab the trial version on the same date.

No doubt swac07 that's pretty bad and what's crazy is I never would have noticed this type of stuff. I think in this day and age with the hardware that we have now it has no place. I just don't notice this type of stuff. A lot of the minor bugs I don't even notice. Now "Brain-dead AI" things like that I notice LOL.

I stay out of the "Bugs" thread because I don't want to know. I just want to enjoy the game and I overlook/miss a lot flaws/issues and 9/10 times I would never had noticed. I just try and enjoy the game for what it is and keep it moving. Again I understand why some could/would be upset.

Remember the defensive improvements video that EA released last week, has anyone actually seen the hedging PNR animation shown in this video (skip to 1:55)? I've watched tons of demo/early access/retail (WTF) videos and can't recall ever seeing this once..

Yeah, they were doing it to Lebron in San Antonio. It's normally when your guy gets hot, and you're doing the PnR to the center of the court from the Wing.

After seeing all the improvement and still needing more in Live 14 I was eager to try 15. I love my NBA games no matter who makes them. I'm loving Live 15 they have made grand strides this year and with any luck if they keep going they'll have a product worthy of competing with 2K. I just think that Live plays a tremendous game of basketball, yes there are still a few wonky animations (nothing like last year) and a few average faces but on the whole its much closer go where they need to be and they should be commended. I have pre ordered on Xbone already and can't wait to delve deeper. 2K the great video game that it is is just stale to me so I'm hanging to play some more Live this year that actually looks and plays pretty darn well. I'll be again playing Live for my 5 on 5 fix and playing my player on 2K

Just had a great game on AS 5 min qtrs Lakers(ME) vs Hornets. I beat the wheels off them 57-37.

Best defensive effort I've played with the short time I've had. I held them to 40% FG and they went 2-12 3pt shots. Had 4 blocks and 2 steals.

Defense in this game is WAY more realistic than its competition imo. When you guard someone and if it's done correctly the chance for them to be successful goes way down.

Yeah it has some "Wonky" animations but they are so far and few and I think it has a lot to do with the way I play. I run plays almost always unless the FB is obvious and then I push it. I take high % shots and I don't force things often.

The more I play and with the update the game just gets better

Teams do play different. Players play different imo. My advice is to take the time to learn the controls and it opens this game wide open

I did a Bucks at Raptors one that's archived. I'll post the link shortly. Derozan killed me. Every single basket of his was at the hoop.

I was preoccupied, not the greatest game ever, but you can still see some good stuff.

I hope in the retail version (patched) that the game is more challenging. I'm playing at SUPERSTAR level and I have yet to lose a game - even against the elite teams. I've had a couple of close games but most have been blowout wins.

This concerns me a bit.

Gotchu, I'll check it out when I get a chance. Was seeing everyone run with the Cavs or Knicks or Lakers or Thunder or Spurs, I didn't see any love being shown for the "dull" teams.

I'm really curious to see how the Nets look in this game and also if they got the "Brooooooklynnnnnn" chant in there as well.

WTF I didn't get a chance to test this, but I know you play with the Cav's who have Marion...

How is your experience in the mid post area? Guys like him who use a lot of hooks, push shots in the lane to score haven't really been as effective in past Live's to me because they didn't have the animations to reflect it. Have they added any of those?

They have some sweeping hooks, some quick "push" shots (funny, because all of Marion's shots are "push" shots, lol). In the post, and anywhere on the floor I think, you can use the RB Modifier for a bank shot and/or a "special type" of shot. I've seen some pretty fluid moves in the post, I just have to mess around and see how I'm triggering them. I know it has to do with the modifier, but I'm not sure exactly when to push it to trigger. I'll play around with it some more and see if I can answer more clearly for you all.

I was the Clippers. I threw some cheesy oops, but just because it was available to me. One of the coolest ones wasn't completed, as I threw one from Half Court with Chris Paul. It was intercepted, but Jordan called for it, and I threw it.

I love the first possession of that game though. The movement passing down in the block to Blake, kicking up top to Barnes, over to CP3, then calling for a pick, having everyone else clear out for the PnR with Jordan. It was pretty sweet.

Bucks (me) at Raptors

I like the first play of the game again, where I took Jabari and broke them down off the dribble, cue the euro, and ended up missing the shot. It was very organic though. This is the game that I was highly preoccupied, which lead to some pretty horrific play on my part, but still. I'll own it

Heh. Live developers never said this was their aim. In fact, they try to point out the nuanced sim aspects, but you'll have Live fans in one moment make claims about how much more sim it is than the other game, and then praise it for how not sim it is compared to the other game the next or liking posts of that sentiment.

I think "Live is supposed to be less sim" is an excuse some fans make to justify Live's shortcomings. It's fine if that's what they enjoy but let's not pretend it's part of some master design philosophy when the devs themselves don't dare to claim it.
