They opted to put in a practice gym last year instead of addressing the biggest issues (I don't think one thing from the B&G thread was addressed)..but I have a feeling they will be more focused this year...

They just need to keep us informed...don't want to play the "I got an update, the game feels smoother!" game all year, lol

For guys playing, I forgot to let you all know, you can push the right stick either up or towards the ball handler, and raise your arms on defense. AND... you can move with your hands up. It helps cut down on the passing lanes because your guy will tip passes like this.

Stealing is too easy

Live deserves a ton of credit for getting team colors and court colors perfect...now they need to get skin colors up to par. Watching some of these gameplay vids several players are WAY off. On the Pistons alone they have Brandon Jennings light skinned and DJ Augustine brown skinned. Hopefully that can be addressed with updates during the season.

I really didn't enjoy a second of my time on Live. Animations are bad, not a fan of the controls, didn't care for the gameplay.

Graphics are decent but other than that I didn't like what I played.

Glad some people enjoy it.

After spending a hr playing, i have to say Live 15 isn't a sim gam. With that being said, don't get me wrong, there are some great fundamental aspect of BBall in this game. And it extremely FUN, CONTROLLING, AND REWARDING.The game delivers in the area of immersion. You feel like your watching a nba broadcast. I had a lot of fun playing, surprised me actually. Gameplay needs work. At times it plays smooth and animates beautifully. Then there are times where things get wacky, misses rebounds and locked into animations, weird being this game is physics based. But still enjoyed my experience. This is a major step in right direction. Players that got scanned look incredible, most of them. I think skin tones are still a issue for me personally, but i can over look that. They just need to hammer out old gen animation system and redo entire thing and i think that will be the defining moment of Live return. Plus giving us back editing options. All in all, great fun time. Deciding whether to buy first day now is my only issue. Game shows much promise. I can tell you one thing, its hard going back to the other game when you experience the control and graphical beauty of the arenas, courts, shoes, accessories, etc. BBall is about more than gameplay, and this game delivers on the immersion aspect, just inconsistent gameplay flow kills it at time due to wonky animation system and occasional weird physic stuff. I think next yr, EA will gain a significant part of the market again if they stay focused and not revamp over. This is the foundation to build on. EA, is getting back into the game. I'm a diehard 2k fan, baball fan. this will be in my collection. I will support the direction, just don't screw it up from here EA.

I like how you can play with authority around the rim, meaning solid dunks, mean blocks, thunderous put backs, swats that bang off the backboard, etc.

These are big athletic dudes who can bring it, this game does a really good job of replicating that.

For guys having issues on defense around the basket, don't forget that you can press steal as guys are going up to attempt to strip the offense. Even on fast breaks. It's all about timing too. I've seen some very cool ones today.

I think this game is showing that a game doesn't have to be hardcore sim to be fun. Sim is a nice way to go but having an alternative is nice.

I honestly never thought about it that way

I am actually glad there is this type of alternative available because if both were super sim I would not even entertain a video basketball game.

Love the ESPN camera angle. The skin tones are EXCELLENT! Can't wait to pick this up. I need a break from 2k. The game seems fun. Give them another year.

Great perspective. I think the graphics are flat out amazing. Like you said, it's hard to look at the other game the same. Just plz give us a CBB game soon

What's up with the officials? The color on their pants looks off.

I am going to buy Live eventually. I think it is an improvement over last year's and I am really excited about what they have planned for the future. However, the colors/lighting are a break from what we have traditionally seen in nba games. I'm not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing but it taking me some getting used to.

They're trying to do different things. 2K wants to be sim and may come up short in some areas and Live I think just wants to be a fun experience plain and simple. I keep telling myself that 2K is the better overall package but am having a hard time going back to it now that I've played Live.

One thing I am really liking about live is game flow.

What I mean is this, in the other game the CPU is deadly so I feel like I am always trying to get as close as I can to the basket so my shots succeed because the games play out in a 1 for 1 bucket trading contest. The CPU is so relentless about scoring I feel if I have an empty possession I am going to lose.

Live for me has done a better job of replicating runs. I will score 5-6 points, then go luke warm while the CPU scores 4-5 points and we keep trading these little mini runs through the game, to me this better represents what I see in real basketball games.

In that opening thunder v. Cavs contest I went down big, like 16 down. But I clawed my way back to within 4 before time ran out.

This feels more organic to me. If I go down 10 in the other game we just trade baskets and I stay down 10. Just feels to me that every time I miss I go down a basket whereas in live I can force the CPU into missing by playing solid D, plus the CPU shooting percentages just seem more toned down in live too which gives me more freedom on my offensive end to shoot midrange jumpers without fearing the deadly miss constantly.

I really like how you have to work for a good shot. The cpu does a good job of stopping drives to the hoop. Also because of the way the player movement is, you can't just run around and circles until you have the open shot.

Really struggling with two things so far.

The shot release timing is way too early. Feels like you have to quickly tap the button for a good release which throws out any type of rhythm.

Second is lack of play art. Unfortunately I can't run an NBA offense without any indication of what my players are doing. Makes it really difficult to get open shots.

I'm enjoying the game so far otherwise.
