NBA Live 15 News Post

Back in the summer, it was hinted by EA in an interview that a NBA Live 15 demo would come much earlier than fans expected.

Now two weeks from release and we have zero news on any demo release date, only a vague promise one is coming on Twitter. With no date yet announced, there is definitely a reason for concern considering the two week window is when most games typically deliver demos for fans to see what a new title is bringing to the table. At this point, we don't have any concrete information on if a pre-release demo will even happen. With no real goodwill with sports gaming fans, especially after last year's release which was our lowest rated AAA game ever, there's very little reason for anyone to consider the game until someone verifies how it is going to play.

The good news is that EA Access users will get a six hour trial of the game before release, and its likely at least some media outlets will also have the game soon. Thus, its likely we'll start to find out more about this year's NBA Game from EA soon enough. It just would have been nice for users to get a chance to play some 5-on-5 action before release to make their minds up that way. Here's to hoping the recent trends of no pre-release sports game demos is an unfortunate series of events that won't be repeated next season!

Isn't this is the same guy that felt like he was being stalked on twitter. Like how can you feel stalked on twitter, when you're begging for followers? Bill Cosby crossed my mind when I read that...

Back on topic, this is one game that needs a demo & agree with Ermoli's points as well. I usually just play the demo when I want a change anyways.

There's no reason to relax, it was promised that's like the company you work for promised you a raised it would be fair to ask prior to deadline of increase when would it take place. If you open up your mouth then you need to back it up. In this case EA blew it they should of release the demo or say it won't happen. It's yes or no, the silence they give fans is the problem.

To me, Live/EA needs the demo just because I don't think it's good for their long term health (with this franchise) to continue allowing your name and your word to get trashed with empty promises and whatnot. It's a new team, but when people see the same pitfalls happening over and over again. It doesn't exactly inspire the masses to go buy your product.

Let's keep it on the topic

Scarface I've warned you enough about worrying about everyone else here. I won't give you a warning if you do it again.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether I like it or not, agree or disagree with it. I read them all, why because we all don't think the same. I don't get butthurt if someone says something I don't agree with. Id rather them explain why, etc so I can understand their views too. Ignoring is something little children do, because their pride got the best of them, and they have nothing to retort with. It's the take my ball, and go home equivalent.

From your post here, you seem to have trouble grasping that concept. Anything else on your mind?..

I don't care to know what's on his mind if it's not on topic. I'll lock this thread if need be if it can't steer back

So originally there was going to be an October 7th release with a very early demo. Then the game was delayed and there seems to be no sign of the demo. It's now 2 weeks until release and we haven't even seen 5 on 5 gameplay, thats very concerning to me.

Can we please stick with the topic at hand...

Thank You

That literally makes no sense. 2k showed 5 on 5 gameplay weeks in advance of release. 2k doesn't release demos because they have an established pedigree, not because they'd be "exposed". Exposed by what exactly? Every review has praised it's gameplay, while knocking its horrible servers. Live has shown no real gameplay footage, it's now a week past schedule release and 2 weeks before launch and we've seen nothing. I want Live to be good, quite frankly I'm tired ok 2k server issues and I know I can count on EA for having atleast reliable servers

Feed em I like to see em go pink at the end of the day. I'd rather have the true live fans here than the fake ones.

I actually appreciate the delay, because I was able to learn that the 2k15 im playing is a demo to which im glad I get a $40 credit towards live. I can't wait for freshness. Live 15 will be nice. Its good to see some excitement from impatient people. Live 15 people know what there doing. This whole article is prematurely made any ways. If it was 2 days left then I could understand the frustration. Welp back to offline 2k15.

I had no interest in NHL 15 at all...

Downloaded the demo purely as "it was there".

Played it non stop for a couple of days. Loved the physics and presentation.

Reviews came out and hammered the game...but I ignored them as I had enjoyed the demo so much.

Moral of the story = demos change people's minds / are the biggest factor in helping people switch to a new game they otherwise may not have even considered.

I doubt ill buy it anyways but there is zero chance. zero if I dont play it first. With that being said I did try the demo last year well for about 3 minutes and new I wasnt ever gonna like it. So I guess a demo can work both ways. it seems like if I knew my game was not very good I would not put out a demo and hope for the people who will just buy it. A demo seems pretty risky to me.

You felt that way about 2k15 having no demo? Just asking....

# 57 bigsmallwood @ 10/15/14 01:12 AM
Bottom line is NBA Live 15 is less than two weeks away from release and we have not seen ANY gameplay videos at all. There is NO Demo date listed.....As much as I want Live 15 to be great...this seems a bit fishy

Exactly. I got it coming through GF. If it's decent I'll buy. I'm looking for a hoop game where I'm in control! I don't like what occurs on the screen to be left to chance.

My plan exactly. I've found that as long as you only have the game you really want in your Q, and you have no games out when it releases, they will actually ship it out the Monday before it arrives in stores. I've gotten FIFA 15 and 2k15 both from Gamefly within 2 days of release. I'm enjoying 2k, but I damn sure want to at least try Live. I thought the Hands-On by Gametrailers looked pretty good, and their opinions on the gameplay were very positive overall. I still haven't seen enough to convince me about the defense and collision animations, but the movement of the players looked surprisingly good, and the graphics were top notch too.

Better hope the control and animations are better than last year then.....
