Madden NFL 15 News Post

Josh Looman just tweeted out a host of fixes for CFM in Madden 15. The fixes are currently for online leagues only, but offline leagues will get the fixes soon.

In case you can't see the above image:
  1. Fixed the cost of man and zone coverage, as it was too low.
  2. Made sure that you now earn more for drills in game prep than normal activities.
  3. OLB and MLBs can now upgrade power moves.
  4. Fixed the owner mode issue with not being able to sign a player with a $0 signing bonus.
  5. Fixed the issue where you could earn less than the minimum displayed for game prep activities.
  6. Fixed desync issues associated with defensive graphics settings.
Have you noticed any differences?

Out of 5 CFM opponents I have only been able to connect to 2. I am 0 for 2 with 2 different opponents today, so to me it seems like the update did more harm than good. Is EA aware of this issue?

I was expecting more gameplay fixes?
qb signature throws and cadences, cpu qb "throw ball away", crossing routes not being automatic, and I'm sure the list can go on but that would be a good start.

Hopeful this isn't the only update, I know in previous years they've had updates/patch as late as November. I may be ready to buy the game if they do.

The irony is they are online protesting about online, that's an enigma wrapped in a contradiction,

Also, I can't remember but over the years has online gotten all its' fixes prior to a full patch? Meaning, it seems to me, whenever they release a full on patch, it seems to include way more fixes than those touted in online updates like this. I could be mistaken though and maybe it just seems that way because a patch addresses so many areas outside of what's accessible online.
......Fine words man an enigma wrapped in a contradiction wow sorry books lol ..... im guessing u play online because every year its a problem playing a franchise OFFLINE
Ya ur right It takes a while 2 get a patch thru soo heres a solution FINISH THE GAME completely b4 we spend 60$ ever year !! But EA caters to there Madden pink hats instead actually listening 2 what fans in these forums beg for each year but instead we get tiny titan (( was this on our wishlist )) haha .... Its honestly a good game at the end of the but maybe some other football competion like ahhhh 2K '' wink wink '' might help who knows .... jus Thank God we got guys in this forum who kick *** trying 2 make this game as realistic as possible ..... HATS OFF GUYS !!

Don't play online but Josh Looman stated in a tweet that his team believes it is due to user settings not matching. I think he cited the visual feedback options.

I myself am finding it harder and harder to resist theurge of starting an online CFM. I do not want to win MVP with Flacco because I threw for 4000 yrds with 32 TDs and 17 ints.

They got me this year. I have to work on my patience. Not that the gameplay isn't great but I knew bc if issues like this the game wouldn't be ready for another two months. Game will cost half of that then.

Lol.... or got it used .... and ur right gameplays awsome man its jus those stupid lil things like sim stats offline that always seems 2 be a problem .... if they could let ya edit player ratings , draft names and there height n weight for rookies during franchise would sooooo help with progression and regression .... I hate seeing good players ratings drop so far off after 1 year ..... o well wat can ya do right .... SERENITY NOW !! Lolzzz

I don't play online CFM myself, but I think it means people couldn't connect with other users in user v user games when their visual display settings (kicking arc, defensive displays) were different from one another.

I wasn't able to enter a team selection screen against one particular user. Well the solution was to go from modem to PS4. Had to move my PS4 which was a major pain. This took me from Type 2 NAT to Type 1 NAT.

I am so tired of peer to peer connections. It creates such a headache.

# 33 NFLHITMAN @ 09/11/14 04:19 PM
My Xbox One is about 4 feet from my modem and my nat is open and I still have issues connecting to user vs user in CFM. I have zero problem connecting in regular head 2 head matches so I doubt modem conflicting has anything to do with it.

If that was the case it wouldn't work in head 2 head also. It's only a problem in CFM.

I have my X1 plugged in and not on wifi also with over 50 MB internet speed with an open nat and rarely connect lol.

Check out the issue in first post one page 2 of this thread in a video showing the issue.

"Fixed the owner mode issue with not being able to sign a player with a $0 signing bonus."

This has not been fixed. It is still not possible to sign a free agent with no signing bonus when team has negative funds.

Below is just my opinion:

It's not a modem issue, it's a router issue. The guy I had issues with I also had issues when it came to NCAA 14 on the PS3. We had the same exact issue where we couldn't connect and get into a game.

I had the issue with this person in CFM and in H2H matches. These games are played peer to peer, not on an EA server. Personally I think that's where the issue lies. Did you try to play this same person in a H2H match outside of CFM? Did you still have the problem?

I'm on PS4 though so maybe it's a different issue with X1.

You should at least try to go straight from modem to X1 and see if the problem is still there. If you do this make sure you reset your modem before plugging it into your X1.

Does your modem have router capabilities?

To fix the 2 xbox's on 1 connection problems I reserved IP addresses for them and used port triggering with the correct XBL ports, also I use a static ip setup from my ISP.. Now anyone that brings their X1 over connects with us fine in different rooms

This doesnt explain the problems with guys who dmz and open all ports. I have dmz and opened all ports on router and we have verified all settings and i continuously desync.

apparently desyncs still exist. It has to do with the camera toggle which was one of the first things that was labeled as the culprit for these desyncs.

If the toggle is not the same for both players, it will likely desync.

Some in my elague had issues with even going into the team select screen with mismatching toggles. They changed it to match which was off i believe and played their game fine.
