I hope not. I liked having to follow market trends on my own, and getting steals due to my knowledge of the market. Having that thing to tell everyone what a card is worth almost takes the fun out of it. It certainly waters it down.
The Auction Assistant feature is still in the game:

Keep in mind that you can always change your own team's AI settings from the "tonight's matchup" screen before you load up a game. But you can't edit the rest of the CPU teams' settings like you could in NHL 14. Previously, you could change the tendencies for every team in the game.
That is the final blow for me then. There is a workaround I found in the demo for strategies though. You just move a second controller to the CPU team and adjust the strategies from there. Then when you start the game move that controller off the CPU team and the strategies should stick providing you have the CPU strategy adjustment slider set to 0. However, it still won't work for Be A GM since you can only control the User team. Without season mode, playoffs, and tournament, then it's virtually useless unless you want to play, play now games.

Thank you for sharing this information. I can officially say I'm not buying this game now. I'm honestly considering the game for 360 or ps3 though. If the stick handling and arenas are in the 360/ps3 version I may just buy it. I'm thinking if I get it I will put Shogun's goalie and player edits in the game and hopefully it will be the same experience he has been having on NHL 14. The only thing is, at this point I don't want to give them money for this series at all.

I played 4 game in HUT with only the starter packer. Gold pack was not available for purchase at this time. I am not sure if this is done on purpose or not but the starter pack was very weak. My best player was Travis Moen. Other player where AHL/Junior caliber.

The AI comeback was in full swing. Even worst than NHL14 at time. It was over the top. I haven't found a way to block the laser pass in the slot and the AI abuse the hell out of that even more so than NHL14. My impression is that this will be the year of the breakaway and one timer.

I only had the option to play online or solo. No tournament. You always play as away. That kinda weak. The menu as not that slow but they are not fast either and the new HUT interface needs a lot of work.

I don't want to be one of the guys that bash EA to death but they have a lot of work to do to polish this game. I think a huge amount of buyers are going to be dissatisfied in its current state. Hopefully, there is a patch around the corner.

Does anyone know of any youtube channels with players who actually utilize the tools that they give you in game? I feel like nobody uses any of the advanced skating cuts or anything.

Everyone I watch does the same boring garbage every time, skate to the corner and either whip a one timer out front, or cut across the crease for a whip wrister far side. How is that even fun? You literally might as well just be playing NHL 94 with buttons. Is there anyone who actually uses the superstar skill stick? I want to see people setting up plays and stuff, and utilizing dekes. I swear I'm the only one who does this.

Probably been mentioned, but the team ratings are laughable. Teams are rated offense, defense, and goalie. Of all the ratings, 85 is the lowest number, Buffalo and Nashville's offense. 94 is the highest, NY Rangers goalie. I know there's parity in the NHL, but this is ridiculous.

EDIT: as I try to play a ranked quick match it frequently says "failed to retrieve data, please try again". Took 5 tries to actually get into a game. And I lost my connection.

Also, the announcers don't talk during the online game, I have the volume settings all the way up for this. They only talk if I'm offline.

Either you don't know how to properly search Youtube or...people aren't as good as you are at this game. Hmmm, I wonder which it is.

That's just pathetic if it's true. I honestly hope sales tank big time and EA Sports loses money on this years game. Fire everyone responsible for this garbage and hopefully some other new company steps in and takes over, EA Sports has completely ruined NHL Video Games.

NHL 15 is just NHL 10-14, man. Keep your money and play the older ones.

Because EA has the game setup for that crap to work. You could waste your time like we do trying all these pretty plays and hard work setting up in the zone stuff, but why bother when you can gain the zone every single time and then dangle, snipe, celly, bro? Ha, there is no incentive to play hockey with this game. None. It doesn't reward it if you do and it certainly won't do it back to you in return.

Is it fun to be condescending

The game is advertised here in Australia for about $90 for next gen and is only $10 cheaper for old gen. This game is just not worth that. Really disgusting pricing.

I agree with those who say this game really doesn't bring anything new or worthy of a purchase. The thing is NHL never goes on sale here. I can't justify this price for the product. Will go with Destiny next week instead.

# 278 18 eighty 5 @ 09/05/14 10:03 AM
This was crazy. Start of the 3rd period. I win the face off and Paciorety comes in at center ice and flings it back to Price who puts his pad flat on the ice but the puck magically goes through it and into the goal. The picture shows his pad flat down and the puck starting to go through it like it isn't even there.

# 279 18 eighty 5 @ 09/05/14 10:08 AM
Puck inside Price's leg.

# 280 18 eighty 5 @ 09/05/14 10:11 AM
...and out it comes heading straight for the net. This goalie is literally a sieve.
