Madden NFL 15 News Post

Microsoft has resolved the Madden NFL 15 early access issue for EA Access subscribers. For some odd reason, users were able to download it, but couldn't actually play the game.

Exclusive to Xbox One users, EA Access subscribers get six hours of gameplay. So make sure you close out of the app when it's not in use. The timer starts when you start the game and pauses when you exit and close the app.

Yeah that's not normal. Mine took about the same as last year's game to get to the main menu.

Yep end up paying $90 for madden instead of 59.99. EA made a smart move lol now other companies are looking to exploit consumers with this

I tried it yesterday and it works. I just have over 3 hours left on my Trial and didn't have the time to test it by playing it over a couple hours to see if it registers against my total trial time limit.

So, to sum it up I know you can play it offline, I just don't know if that counts against your trial time.
I did last night too, but it doesn't work, checked today and it says only 30 minutes left, pulled the plug 3 hours in and played for 5 and a half.

Let them try lol. Madden is the only game I would pay to get early. Maybe it's the game of football that makes me crazy lol

1) Press the Glowing Xbox button (what is that called anyways? LOL)
2) With Madden highlighted - Hit the Start button
3) You will see a list of items come up like "Pin to Home", "Snap" , etc. One of these should be "Quit"
4) Select "quit" and the app will close - and more importantly the counter stops.

Heads Up: If you're at anytime unhappy with your EA Access, Microsoft will cancel it and issue you a refund, no questions asked. I just got one because I flubbed my 6 hours by not closing the application... I'll just re-up the sub on another XBL account.

But that's how it should be with a good product. If the game sucked, EA would lose a lot of money so I don't see the problem.

So the timer still ticks whether you're online or not?

1) Click on the sign in section of the homepage
2) Go to "Add New" and enter all of the information (new username, email etc.) to register
3) Go to the MS Store and select EA Access Hub
4) Enter the Hub and fill out the information (You may need to register a new Origin account and enter your credit card info (which takes awhile).
5) Purchase EA Access.
6) Shut down your console and restart it.
7) Sign in w/ the new user account and go to the EA Access and select Madden 15.
8) The game will temporarily act as if it is going to install but then immediately switch to "Play Trial"

The game should start under the new username and you should have 6 more hours.
I tried this but forgot step 6. am I out of luck and need to try again with a different account? it says "trial expired" even on my new account.

also, do i need to sign out completely of my main account before I do step 1, or do i just go to switch profile then add new from my main account?

As I stated on the last page, if that's too complicated, contact Microsoft Support and cancel your EA Access sub. They'll cancel it and issue you a refund if you're unhappy with the service (or at least say you are). Then re-up on another account.

Don't think it's possible. It will just tell you everytime you start it up that you have under "X" hours or minutes left.

Don't do ANY of the steps. Go to Xbox.com, click "Support", and Chat with an agent. Tell them you want to cancel EA Access, and then buy it on another account.

Yes, you have to long out of the other account for it to work
