Madden NFL 15 News Post

Early access to Madden NFL 15 has arrived for EA Access subscribers.

Exclusive to Xbox One users, EA Access subscribers get six hours of gameplay. So make sure you close out of the app when it's not in use. The timer starts when you start the game and pauses when you exit and close the app.

UPDATE: EA Access subscribers can download it, but can't actually play it. We will update when they get it working...

UPDATE #2: Just received this Twitter response from EA Access.

UPDATE #3: Everything works now, post your impressions in the new post.

Isn't that because Diablo itself required a connection to Battle.net on loading?

For PC? I thought it was taken out for console pay.

But then again, I did link my gamertag with battlenet, so you may have a point.

If I download with smart glass and it finishes while I'm at work it won start the 6 hours on its own will it?

For those unable to get it to work did you also pre purchase? I think prepurchasing before the trial downloads screws it up. I think you are suppose to either prepurchase then download the trial, or download it completely and then prepuechase. I could be wrong. Deleting the trial and launching the download through the bundle pin might fix it.

I'm thinking about getting a second EA Access for my kid. Wouldn't that be 6 hrs. for them and 6 for me?

Nope, I downloaded Madden 25 through EA access and I just booted it up without being logged into live.

I didn't. I have a pre-order for the disc copy. Im just opening up Madden 15 on Smartglass and clicking where it says "Get it free EA ACCESS" and it fails...

No. If you have your Xbox set to instant on,' your console should light up for the download and power down once the download has completed.

I would have to think that the timer is internal, but I suppose we'll see.

I was referring to people who already downloaded it.

I am going to go out on a limb and probably say it is internal, but a guy can dream right?

Same. Uninstalled and now re-downloading from the access hub itself.

At least you got it to download, I keep getting an error on smartglass preventing the download from starting...

I'm going to go home to my console and set it up to download from within the EA Access app itself and see if that works.

Same for me. I think EA Access might be down, because I'm not seeing Madden 15 in the their app anymore either??

Indeed.

Maybe we can play offline and keep resetting the system clock

That's what I thought. Thanks

Its still in there for me.

Going from the EA Access app shouldn't matter though. All it does is take you to the Xbox store.
