Madden NFL 15 News Post

Early access to Madden NFL 15 has arrived for EA Access subscribers.

Exclusive to Xbox One users, EA Access subscribers get six hours of gameplay. So make sure you close out of the app when it's not in use. The timer starts when you start the game and pauses when you exit and close the app.

UPDATE: EA Access subscribers can download it, but can't actually play it. We will update when they get it working...

UPDATE #2: Just received this Twitter response from EA Access.

UPDATE #3: Everything works now, post your impressions in the new post.

Download times that long are b/c of your internet. I can download a full game on my xbox one with disc in 20 minutes or so. That is unrelated tho so I appologize.

Seems like a licensing issue, I'm not expecting we'll have to redownload it.

Oh yea I get it. Im just stating that the service is more than just Madden 15, rather or not thats why you signed up.

And again, in EA's defense, they didnt say you'd be able to play the game at any specific time, they just stated when the trial would start to open up throughout the day. They were very, unspecific, so to say, in that regard.

Thats not downloading a game, thats installing. BIG difference.

The trial is available, that's not a defense.

They also told us at the start we could play the full retail game. Last time i checked, full retail titles don't lock out after 6 hours. EA seems to enjoy being vague

You know damn well that "roll out across the globe" isnt referring the US. Also this isnt an availability issue. The game is available. EA/MS are just having issues with the install functionality.

To be fair, I've gotten to play about 30 hours of Battlefield 4 & my fiancé has played the crap out of Peggle 2. I got my 10% discount on Madden this morning. I'd say I've gotten 99% of what I paid for so far, and between now & Monday night I'll get that other 1%.

They also said limited access to the full game. So unlike Season Ticket where you couldn't play MUT and could only play online against other people who had the season ticket program. During this trial you can play any and all features that the full game provides.

Imagine if, when EA went to charge my account for Access, I put a stop payment on the transaction. Would they still allow me to use Access?

I mean, if I sent out a tweet and said, "Hey, EA...I know you tried to get payment but I need to wait until payday. I'm working on it.." Would they oblige?

I'm paying them. It should work.

They clearly stated it would be the full game for a limited time.
