EA Access News Post

The official EA Access twitter account today confirmed that the platform will only support six hours of Madden NFL 15 gameplay. Considering EA Sports Season Ticket offers Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users access to the game for three full days, this news comes as a disappointment for Xbox One fans.

Without a Madden NFL 15 demo, EA Access and EA Sports Season Ticket is the only way consumers can play the game early. Unfortunately, EA Access is exclusive to the Xbox One, which means PlayStation 4 gamers are left out in the cold on any early access period.

While EA Access certainly has its benefits with The Vault, the sports gamer looked at the deal as a no-brainer, since it offered early access to games. However, with time limits set to just six hours of gameplay, that could deter many of them.

While EA Sports has confirmed demos for both NHL 15 and FIFA 15, we would like to hear from the community concerning the six hour gameplay limit for Madden NFL 15 on EA Access.

Sound off!

This is not correct, EA never said you can play up to five days, what it mean is that you can get access to a new release five days early for al imited time and stated the games right after which included madden 15. It was always stated this way, those that are mad wanted they way they wanted and opted in based on what they wanted instead of reading it properly. It clearly states below, i dont see the confusion. People can be mad, but they should of thought it through before opting in for a year, i opted in for a month planning to cancel after that.

"If you’re an EA Access member, you can download upcoming EA games five days before the release date to play for a limited time. Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition are all included, with more to co"me. If you love it, buy it, and you can pick up right where you left off.

Also if you people purchased ea access for soley early access to games like madden, then why did you purchase so early before full details came out? Something tells me you wanted to play 1 or more games in the vault like myself. The vault is well worth the $30. If you have the hard disc of the games then sell them for $20-30 and make your money back and still play the game/games from the vault. Don't understand the value factor that people are complaining about.

is it me or has things with EA gotten cooky ever since Xbox bought the rights to be the official system. Think about it Madden 05 was the best Madden to date then Xbox got involved with the rights to Madden 06 and since then there have been more complaints about Madden every year than there ever was before. There have been moe glitches and cheating since then too. The sim aspect of the game has been lessened. I believe its more than a coincidence.

Fans be like it was worth it because its MGS and you can take your time and explore and the graphics are sweet.

EA Access with games and 6 hrs worth of full game Madden and other future titles $5.99 a month or $29.99 full year (Pitch Forks to EA) (MS sucks and so does EA..How dare they do this to us)
Grand Turismo 5 prologue or whatever it was called, was that like $50? yay for sony demos selling as full games.

EA Is really disappointing they are not only Ripping us off on the Access , but they are also doing this type of rip off For one of My wife's favorite PC's Games made by EA also (Supporting facts but staying on Topic)
I admit I'm slowly but surely stopping buying their products.. It's not worth my money anymore, you can't even get the full 5 days SMH, but if Live was the flagship title this would be a different story. Live Has competition ( No Contest) and Madden has no Liable Competition so they can screw with us any way they like ( if your buying). Major Disappointment but why do I expect different

A Limited time is 5 days before the game's release. In the past EA Sports customers were used to getting the FULL GAME 3 days early, and it ends right before the release of the retail copy. That IS A LIMITED TIME. They purposely worded it for 5 days early, to imply that you could play the game for a long time. They could have said get it 6 hours before the 26th (IDK Monday at 6 PM at Gamestop and Online for example) and the users probably would have paid for THAT lol. Instead they used trickery to cash in.

One of the worst and way off the point posts of this whole thread.

I can't believe that I actually considered getting a XBox1 mainly just for EA Access. I'm certainly glad I passed now.

Hopefully, there's enough backlash to get them to change it to the same 72 hours window that the Season Ticket people get. However, with EA I doubt they change it. They're not necessarily known for looking out for the consumer.

Why are you guys still complaining. You get to play FIFA 14, bf4, and madden 25 for 5$ a month or 30$ a year. ITS THE VAULT BABY. With doesn't want to play these games. Just play madden 15 one a day until it hits stores and you will be good. WHAT A DEAL, OLD GAMES FOR CHEAP.

VAULT
VAULT VAULT
VAULT GAMES

Essentially I was paying a little extra for full access early like I bought the game early. (Like Skyboxer did for instance this year) With EA Access, it's only 6 hours, AND I'M LOSING it after that. NOT like I bought it early.

Do you even have an xbone?

How much was the ticket? Was it $60 a year and you still had to pay $60 for the game or what? How did that work?

First off. I own a PS4. Lets get that out of the way. For those Xbox 1 owners who spent the thirty dollars or five dollars on this service and are happy with it , there is no need to explain your purchase. It's your money so do with it what you please.I hope you find the value your looking for. For those who are upset with the fact they purchased this service and feel misled , I'm sad for you. I could see why you feel that way. EA (not sports ) should have laid the cards on the table from the start and let people know exactly what they were getting for their money. I mean , that's how I like doing business. Either way , I don't technically have a dog in the fight since I don't own a one , but I would suggest a little patience . I would assume that they didn't build a vault for four games, so more will be added. Until then , enjoy your Madden 15 early access . It may not be what season ticket offered , but at least it bridge the gap some between now and Tuesday

Wow…. Really glad I only went with the month. That's really low. To not come out from the beginning and say 6 hours instead all you heard was 5 days early access to games. Obviously people are going to take that as 5 whole days. Especially since season ticket gave you 3 days unlimited. Unreal. I bought this mainly to play madden and nhl early. 5 dollars isn't a big deal, just let down I won't have nearly as much time as I thought i would.

HOODWINKED;BAMBOOZLED;LED A STRAY. WOW. Cash grab from our one and only football game. well they did say early gametime, so technically they didn't lie. (smfh)

# 217 chi_hawks @ 08/18/14 03:12 PM
Not surprised at all. If you got money to burn, and nothing to do for 6 hours, here you go. I'd rather wait and buy Madden 25 in a month for $44.99 and after 2 patches fix the inevitable issues that plague it on release date.

# 218 brandon27 @ 08/18/14 03:12 PM
Wow, that's really terrible. I now have to decide whether its worth keeping my EA Access subscription or not. 6 hours of play time, over a 5 day period is just quite pointless, especially if you're paying for it IMO.

The tough part for me about my subscription though, I traded in BF4, and M25 and got about $45 or so in credit towards Madden/NHL/Destiny and I've still been playing M25 and BF4 from the vault, and I got Fifa for free.

So its tough, because to me the value is still there in BF4 and Fifa, but one of the key features of this program was the early access. Limited at 6 hours... its pretty worthless IMO when with the old Season Ticket program you'd get 3 full days. It'll probably take me longer than 6 hours to download the game!

Really poor decision on EA's part in my opinion.

Im sorry to all the users who feel burned, but this is your fault. Like I said, maybe this will teach you going forward. Wait for details, don't purchase something on assumptions. I mean this is EA after all guys. We know they love the shady moves.
Guys it's not called EA Early Access.....it's called Ea Access, meaning access ea games for one flat cost. I'm done in this thread, people are a joke and freak out b/c they over analyze what they are purchasing.

This is surprising and disappointing for me. I expected to have the game the whole weekend, so 6 hours is a bit of a punch in the gut. I wish I had known that before I signed up, but honestly I'd probably still have paid for it. I mean, we're only talking five bucks in my case.
