Junior- Mama Used To Say lol

Am I riding in the car with me father on the way to my grandmothers or something?

Like the song but basketball doesn't come to my mind when I hear that song.

Even with 27 songs on it, I can't help but feel it's going to be like every other 2K soundtrack where you just play the game so often that the songs just wear on you.

Looks like a decent list though.

I would have thought someone like Pharrell Williams would be more on the cutting edge and not just have bunch of songs he listened to 20 years ago.

It's not awful, but just like with 2K13 and 2K14 song choice is boring and old. This series used to have great soundtracks until it started paying money to 'big names' to choose the most unoriginal stuff.

No doubt I'll turn the music off when I first start the game.

I like it. I do not spy too many mega-hits that I've already heard 18,000 times, contrary to 2K13 and a bit of 2K14. Seeing Ratatat, Santigold, and Afrika Bambaataa return is a nice touch of 2K nostalgia. It all looks like a pretty good mix; many familiar artists but not necessarily taking the easy way out by going with their signature tracks.

That said, I wonder what the deal was with various media outlets reporting that System of a Down was going to be included on the soundtrack. Perhaps a licensing mishap? http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/...rrell-williams

So PISSED that Happy is not on there!

Like, seriously 2K/Pharrell!?

Year in and year out, 2K doesnt pay attention to what we want.

Im going with Live this year fellas.

Not mad at all! Good list!

It's ok. Sad there's no Nas, Em, thought Pharrell could have at least thought of Lupe Fiasco. Hell, even a Drake song like "Draft Day" would've made sense.

I guess its just me who only likes 3 songs on this list (Grindin', Dangerous and Scenario).

Glad its back. I fell in love with that song.

Essentially have to if they want to keep their E rating, if they didn't censor you'd have none of these songs at all.

I went and created this playlist on Spotify and so far the mix of songs on this playlist is active! It should vibe well while we game. What's your favorite 2K soundtrack of all time? Mine is 2K10..

Hard to pick one but the run from 2k10-2k12 is the pinnacle IMO. A healthy blend of genres, songs you've heard of, new artists, etc.

As a primary hip-hop fan 2k6 was great but I like hearing a few different genres which I felt 2k finally got right in the early 00s.

Agreed. I'll always miss the eclectic group of up-and-comers mixed with some established folks. 2K's soundtracks used to serve as a sampler, where I could hear and listen to unique acts that were often out of my comfort zone, leading to new interests and appreciation.

That said, again, considering where we've stood with the soundtracks the past two years, I think this year's looks pretty solid by comparison. We'll have to see how quickly the familiar ones wear on me ("Personal Jesus", "That Thing", "Spiderwebs", "Dangerous", amongst others). In the very small amount of time I played 2K14, even after removing the tracks from the menu playlist, I was still ready to pull my hair out after hearing "Started from the Bottom" and "Not Afraid" during every break in on-court action.

I listened to the spotify playlist while playing The Show, and I actually like it. I was hoping for a bit more variety, but I think it turned out well.
