Maybe not better than all those teams but definitely better than the Jaguars. BTW the Raiders beat the Steelers, Texans, and Jaguars last year and by all accounts they are much better(on paper) this year sooooo....... I don't know what the hell kinda ratings we got. This means that there are a bunch of highly rated players from last year that had a drop in ratings just because they came to the Raiders. I know for a fact that just about everyone that we picked up in FA had an OVR of 84 or higher in last year's game. We had some talented young guys that were rated pretty decent as well. How that translates to a 72 OVR is beyond me. Must be using EA math to figure out these ratings.

It's probably Offense and Defense team ratings averaged out

Y'all making it bigger than it really because once you play multiple years it ain't like the ratings gone stay the same anyway

Plus the Ratings make since

Plus y'all talking about the Raiders and Jaguars Lol I understand their y'all team

The Lions should be rated much higher. They underachieved big-time the last two years under that miserable excuse for a head coach, Jim Schwartz.

That's seems about right for the Lions

They have all the Offense but the their Defense is suspect as hell

How about them Panthers though

# 9 twogotwingz3 @ 08/06/14 06:46 PM
The Cardinals and the Rams will trash the Cowgirls... EA is dumb

# 10 Bowinkle08 @ 08/06/14 06:56 PM

Lot of Eagles players are extremely overrated. Oh well, they'll drop back down to reality after a few weeks into the season.

The Eagles defense gave up a lot of YPG last season, and they had 2 or 3 really bad games pointwise. But they had a pretty long stretch through the season when they gave up less than 20 points in each of the games. They were a bend and not break defense last season. Their offense was great so I think their rating seems right.
I think most of the ratings are accurate except the Raiders don't deserve to be dead last.

Cardinals - suspect Offense , Good Defense

Cowboys - Good Offense , Suspect Defense

Yes they improved the defense IN GAME but Offense is still protected ... Real Life it seems

Hilarious that the Cowboys are the measuring stick for everyone else's teams. Makes me proud to be a fan

# 18 TecmoZack @ 08/06/14 10:21 PM
Funny, I predicted an 82 for the Cowboys today when I was having a conversation with a few coworkers. I agree with the rating.

The Raiders should not be the worst team in the GAME. I don't like Schaub at all but the rest of that team is pretty well put together ON PAPER, which is what we are basically talking about here with a Madden rating. You can't look at the Raiders roster and tell me they worse than the Cowboys with that 81 OVR they have. I mean they have just as good of a roster as my Colts. And I'm specifically talking about ON PAPER. The Raiders are better than a lot of the teams above them.

I still don't get why Dallas is rated an 81 over Arizona. If you put Arizona's roster and said they were the "Dallas Cowboys", then Madden would have given them an 86 OVR or something like that.

Cards: 10-6 in the toughest division, finished 7-2 last season, #1 rush defense, beat seattle in seattle, had decent offense in second half of season

Cowboys: 8-8 in the weakest division, good offense, worst defense on earth
