3 and outs killed you guys.

We're talking an attacking 34 defense. They need pace or a running game to keep them fresh.

Wade was far from your problem.
I totally 100% agree with you on the fact that our defense spent too much time on the field. That right there proves just how terrible of a play caller Kubiak really was.

If you watched every game, every down like I did, you would see Wade Phillips ran a somewhat complex, yet predictable defense. It got to the point where offensive coordinators picked up on this, which in turn, relied too heavily on our defensive talent as oppose to great play calls. We did ok. Not great; not bad. But with a phenomenal defensive coach like Crennel coming in, this defense is going to SOAR. Our offensive still needs more weapons, but it will be middle of the pack. I trust O'Brien completely.

Everyone should know that overall team ratings are just a front and no reason to get worked up about. That's why when you start a franchise every team meets in the middle within 8 points or so where the range is around 78-86 top to bottom.

I believe that when you play online the better player ,or many times cheeser, comes out on top.The only real determining position would be your QB.

Just the measuring stick for the bad teams apparently. Fan's of the good teams don't even think twice about the Cowboys.

Maybe the Raiders will improve when they move to San Antonio....Raider fans. Just relocate ur team (in Madden 15) after the 2015 season cuz its GONNA happen! Book it! hahaha

The Raiders are a good GM/Owner from being a respectable franchise again. They have a good starting base though with Derek Carr and Khalil Mack and they have virtually no big money contracts to worry about. Could be a very interesting team for a rebuild in Madden.

The Cowboys have been playing without Sean Lee for quite a few games and have adequate replacements for him.

The addition of Melton is an upgrade over Hatcher when age is factored. Dallas wasn't going to pay an aged interior lineman after a contract year (smart move).

Dallas trimmed a lot of the fat - to say they made no progress is simply hatred, and is a bold statement coming from a team that performed as poorly as it did last year and has a new head coach because of it.
Come on man, really??

So with Ware are you saying addition by subtraction or only that his absence will have minimal or no impact on how good Dallas is? Either way you need to rethink that stance. Even if he lost a step Ware is still a quality pass rusher.

Adequate replacements for Lee? I don't know about that. Trading for a retired player is not a sign that there is no concern...

Age is not factored into play now games. Real life you may have a point but not team ratings.

The safe assumption is to say that Dallas got worse. To say they made no progress is not hatred. The "progress" you listed is not progress at all. I think your Cowboy hat is too tight.

As a football fan I cried a little inside seeing two of the best players of the draft go to the graveyard of NFL football. I have never been an Oakland fan and I never really hated them either I really have no opinion either way on them but it is sad to see one of the greatest franchises in league history being run into the ground by an inept owner.

No qb, or elite running game and bad O line compared to Cows. Solid defense though.

Very funny, but not true. Seattle is the only SB contender in that division. Don't kid yourself. STL is suspect at QB, as well as SF, and AZ. Sure they play defense but thats all they do. Those offenses are avg to below imo.

Chiefs: 11-5 - make the playoffs - 10 Pro Bowlers

Cowboys: 8-8 - miss playoffs - 5 Pro Bowlers

1 Overall difference?

SF is a Superbowl Contender, if the Seahawks are, the 9ers are.

Russell Wilson didn't have an exceptional year for a QB, they just played really good defense, and could run the ball effectively.

Don't kid yourself if you think San Fran isn't a legit Super Bowl contender. They split their regular season series with each team winning at home and the NFC championship game was decided by 6 points.

Arizona had the 12th ranked offense and 6th ranked defense in the NFL last year, they added some good young talent the past few years in the draft who will continue to get better. They also were only the team to beat Seattle at home last year. Don't be so quick to count them out.

You did see that Dallas' offense kept pace with the Broncos right (head to head, and they added even more talent on that side of the ball this year? I think you and others are forgetting how potent Dallas' offense really is.

There may be a huge disparity in yardage gained, but Dallas was still a top 5 scoring offense despite playing catch up the majority of the time (defense sitting on pass).

Didn't Dallas have the second easiest schedule and wasn't the Broncos defense a turnstile at the that point in the season?

Then factor in that the Cowboys defense was historically bad, then you'll see why people are dismissive about Dallas being an 80 overall. lol

That's a good one. Russell has been historic since entering the NFL. No qb has done what he has done in 2 years. Off the top, I know he is only QB in NFL history with back to back 100 plus qb rating as a rookie and on. Please tell me who he was throwing the ball to again. Golden Tate?? He is a second or third option on most teams. Russell is extremely efficient with the football on top of being very accurate and nimble afoot. The Niners are not b/c they don't have the QB to get it done. Great defense sure, offense is so so, especially when their leader says if this, and if that after throwing a pick in the championship round. That is poor leadership instead of saying the defender made a great play. Kap made an excuse. You can't get better if you just make excuses. That's poor leadership sir and part of the reason the 9ers will not win a SB with KAP as the starting QB.(IMO of course) In madden its fine since he can run fast.
