2K Announces Expanded Euroleague Lineup for NBA® 2K15

25 Euroleague Basketball teams playable exclusively in NBA 2K15

2K announced today that NBA® 2K15, the next installment of the top-selling and top-rated NBA video game simulation franchise*, will include additional teams and players from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague as part of their exclusive multi-year global partnership. NBA 2K15 will be available on October 7 in North America, and on October 10 internationally for the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment systems, the Xbox One all-in-one games and entertainment system and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft; and Windows PC.

NBA 2K15 will feature 11 additional teams from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, including top-level FC Bayern Munich of Germany, JSF Nanterre of France, Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul of Turkey and Partizan NIS Belgrade of Serbia, bringing the total number of playable Euroleague teams to 25, including every team that participated in the 2013-14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague. All squads will be fully updated to reflect trades accurate to the day of release**.

“The global response to the integration of Euroleague teams into the NBA 2K series last year was fantastic, and a key factor in our decision to include the full complement of 2013-14 Euroleague teams in NBA 2K15,” said Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts. “We know there’s a huge passion for basketball in Europe, and we’re excited to further expand the number of playable European teams to make this the most comprehensive basketball game ever.”

"After an exciting start last year, our partnership with 2K takes another strong step forward with an expansion of the Euroleague Basketball teams in NBA 2K15," added Jordi Bertomeu, President and CEO of Euroleague Basketball. "The appeal of our style of basketball to video game fans was evident right away with just 14 Euroleague Basketball teams last year, and we are sure that seeing many more of them in NBA 2K15 will be another hit."

I'm sorry but what's the purpose of the pic? If you're implying that JWill is a sheep for being a hardcore 2k fan then you're wrong because thats a pic of a GOAT.

I can't say I get this(other than wanting to sell more copies in Europe). This is an NBA game these teams have nothing to do with the NBA. You don't see Arena League teams in Madden. They could've had an entire classic season like 92/93 with all the teams in it instead of 25 non NBA teams.

# 63 midwestking100 @ 05/17/14 07:45 PM
I would love to play an entire classic season rather than play with a euro team that I have absolutely no knowledge of or interest.

# 64 Meechyaboy @ 05/17/14 07:52 PM
I'd rather see the wanna added in

# 65 HowDareI @ 05/17/14 08:45 PM
I don't care if they add more stuff like this because I never touch it...

I looked at it once this year to see if ex-NBA players were on any rosters and that's it.

But if it's taking time out of developing the core game, and actual NBA features then this is a waste to me...I doubt many NBA fans truly care about Euro teams just saying.

I understand they may be trying to expand their audience but I'm almost certain a lot more people would rather classic teams instead. The most use I've had for the Euroleague teams was to place some of their top players into the free agency for MyGM use.

Besides they could do both, they have enough money.
First it's called NBA 2K15, not Basketball 2K15. Most people that I know are NBA Fans like me. They have so many issues with their own League that need to be fixed. I think there not many people at least in Germany who buy the game because of Alba Berlin or Bayern Munich.

I wouldnt even mind the New European teams if they were involved the right way, like players getting traded in my GM or rookies getting signed or European players in my Team. But this just wasting money imo

Agreed. I've already stated my hesitations with the idea of including non-NBA-related entities in an NBA simulation game (as I feel their inclusion could be at the expense of other integral NBA aspects (D-League, Summer League, Classics).

However, acknowledging Euroleague's inclusion and knowing they're going to be there regardless of how I feel, I'd at least like them to be done with care, meaning I'd like them to be more than just Quick Game fodder with an NBA atmosphere.

But again, yeah, if this aspect of NBA 2K15 means other NBA-based stuff is getting passed over, I am not at all in favor. As it stands, I don't know whether that's the case or not.

There is something wrong on this thread.... Everybody is agree with everybody...
It is not possible. For the fisrt time in the history of operation sport!!!
No one to tell you, "you are never happy, or "don't buy the game and play to nba live or go away of this forum", or "oh you know it is just a video game", or ""ah ah you are a troll", or "go away and never come back..."

Oh i think i have to wake up, it is a dream .....

Wondering just how much interest there is in these teams? I've never played them and would rather they concentrate on fixing what's broke in the game and add more classic teams. I'd like to see some classic players their rookie year.

# 71 AlwaysBased @ 05/19/14 12:55 AM
Rather them bring the summer league and combine back that was a much more realistic addition

# 72 8KB24 @ 05/19/14 07:27 AM
So...Partizan and Crvena Zvezda are not playing Euroleague next season but they are in...yet Cibona and Cedevita BEAT THEM and they are not in the game. Screw you VC.

# 73 Barbatrucco @ 05/19/14 11:00 AM
I agree, there is so little space on the disk that I do not understand this kind of additions. The disk space should be occupied by the improvements of the players movements, for a greater fluidity. Can't understand why they continues to addict Nba teams.
Disk space should not be occupied by the addition of teams as useless as those of the NBA.
In U.S. are able to play basketball? Jump, dunk, dunk, jump: no fundamentals, except for Duncan and Bryant (who learn all the fundamentals in Italy). Dunk, jump, dunk, shot: this is basketball? And the fans? Motionless as statues
EUROLEAGUE IS THE REAL BASKETBALL. We are Europe, more than 2.000 years of passion #IFEELDEVOTION

yup, expand the fan base to increase the cash flow from frustrating people into buying VC. i see you 2k

# 76 EatableclownV @ 05/20/14 12:45 AM
What is the point in adding extra Euro-league teams when they didn't have the players right on the initially teams. 2k on several teams had right handed players running around using their wrong hand to shoot and we weren't able to edit or update the current teams for players that changed clubs.

# 77 CaCHooKa Man @ 05/20/14 03:10 AM
thanks for adding 11 more teams for me to skip over

I don't care. They should've added real Euroleague teams...not ones that can't beat lousy teams.
