MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Haven't seen a day one digital launch this bungled since Diablo III. Well, as others have noted, I've learned my lesson. This will be the last digital copy of a game I purchase via the PSN.

I know everyone wants to do this digital thing but there isn't really good benefits to it. Yes, you save a trip to the store. I'd rather save money. In the time you wait to download, could have went to Walmart at midnight.

went to work at 11pm..checked the forums at 1230..nothing but ppl saying wait so i did checked at 3..getting really nervous because all i saw was nothing still..stayed up till now and have a final at 8am but couldn't study because all i wanted to do was keep checking my ps4 for the digital download lol wow the power the show has on me...cant wait anymore..if nothing is up by 10am i am going to gamestop and using my 100$ gift card to buy the physical copy..just cant wait anymore..

Looks like I'll be doing two things today:

1) picking up a physical copy.

2) going round and round with Sony until I get a refund for their digital abortion.

Should be a fun day.

I will tell you one thing. If I worked the phones at Sony I would be seriously taking today off. Either that or I would just take a handful of aspirin and a large coffee to work with me.

The thing I don't understand is why they would wait to the last minute to upload the game knowing how large it was (if that is indeed the case as mentioned by Ramone). That makes zero sense. The game should have already been loaded onto the servers like last week.

This really sucks since I'm just locked in since I preordered on the marketplace. I prefer digital but at this point I'd rather get my money back and go get it from Wal-Mart.

I get the feeling this is exactly why Sony started the pre-loading thing. Just sucks it wasn't out in time for The Show to utilize it (confimed by Ramone)

Getting these digital copies out on time seems to be a challenge for them, so they said "eff it, let them DL it early."

Just got unlucky w/ the timing.

I'm number 2 in line with Live Chat. Going to see if they have any updates or if I can get a refund to my PSN Wallet. I will let you all know if I have any luck. I'm not expecting much but you never know.

I'm going to ask for it. If I get a no, then it's going straight to the credit card security customer service and get the transaction cancelled.

We'll see what Sony says first.

I thought the moderator of a video game message board saying "relax, it's just a video game" earlier was amusingly ironic.

I took a personal day off work to get into this game today. Went from mildly annoyed last night to pretty aggravated when I woke up and found out this is now cutting into my gametime.

I don't get a whole lot of time off from work to play video games, unfortunately.
